Eh, the link in that one doesn't work for many people, so this one will stay.

I actually hate this person. :) I was watching VH1 and saw that on Best Week Ever. They called Dragostea Din Tei an opera song. -_- Now whenever hears that song, they automatically think of this animation. They don't even know the name! They think it's called Numa Numa. Thanks for ruining a great song. :P

I don't like this guy's rendition of Dragostea Din Tei much either...the first time I heard it was in a flash done by a Japanese person (Romanian and Japanese, odd combination O.o) which can be viewed here. This is at least fairly non-disturbing, and they got the name right

Of course, now we all know how to become internet celebrities! Record yourself lip-synching to this song and post it online!

Yeah, he got his 15 seconds of fame. XD I love that.

Tue Mar 08, 2005 12:38 am

My friend actually called me up when he was on the news, pratically shouting. She was like, "Sarah! That song you love is on TV with some weird guy lip synching it!"

Weird...definetley weird....that song rocks too. Matter of fact, I get into the song worse than that guy does. If anyone taped me dancing to that song, I think I'd be on every channel worldwide. ;)

That song has the most idiotic lyrics ever. It's not a great song. He didn't ruin it. He only made it worse. And it actually was one of the most overplayed songs last year, good grief.

I've seen that ten or so times already, didn't make me laugh at all. Not even at the first time.

There are actually LOADS of people copying him :P Here's one that is suitable for everyone (PM me if you really want the whole list :P)

Clicky!
This kid is cute :)

A CLASS!

perhaps they should have that in classes more often. I bet that's the most physical activity they've in weeks =P. I'd vote for it as a warm up routine for class.

Who says the lyrics are idiotic? If you speak Romanian, they aren't at all.

I say.

You should check the translation before asking, you know? I didn't mean it's stupid because of the language, it's ACTUALLY stupid for the lyrics.

Aww, c'mon(taking this from some random website):

- Verse 2 -
"Hello [on a cellphone], greetings, it's me, an outlaw,
I ask you, my love, to accept happiness.
Hello, hello, it's me, Picasso,
I sent you a beep [cellphone signal], and I'm brave [or strong],
But you should know that I'm not asking for anything from you."

- Verse 4 -
I call you [over the phone], to tell you what I feel right now,
Hello, my love, it's me, your happiness.
Hello, hello, it's me again, Picasso,
I sent you a beep [cellphone signal] and I'm brave [or strong],
But you should know that I'm not asking for anything from you."

There's nothing good in those lyrics.

-shrug- The translation I found was a bit more poetic than that. And you're forgetting the whole bit with the numa-numa iei and the linden trees and all that...

I agree. Besides, I bet it lost a lot in translation. It must be a pretty good song if it was so popular for so long. I like listening to it, even if I don't understand it...
