Ratchet and Clank I,II, and III

I'm playing Ratchet and Clank 2 at the moment I've already played it 2 times and I started a new game so does anyone here play this game?
I'm on planet smolg which is the one where you find all those huge bosses and the thug leader says there are 3.5 zillion protopets in them!
Anyway I was wondering if I should get the plasma coil before the hoverbomb gun and I haven't bought the lava gun yet and it's useful for the impossible challenge and the other planets

I love the Plasma coil. I'd go with that long before the Hoverbomb.
And Horay for R&C 3 for NOT upgrading the Lava Gun to Meteor Gun!
Though Meteor Gun + Lock On = Massive damage

R&C 3 will be really good because the lava gun turns into the liquid nitrogen gun when you upgrade it fully!
