Which Games?

Sun Oct 30, 2005 7:02 pm

Aright, so I've got about 50 dollars to spend on some new games. I was thinking used ones. Systems are: Gameboy Advance, Gamecube, N64.

Any suggestions?

It really depends on what type of game you enjoy to play.

I don't know much about the GBA, but:

The Fire Emblem Series
Advance Wars
Castlevania Series
(there really are quite a few for the GBA, I'm just blank right now...)

N64, I'm even less sure of as I never bought one:

Super Smash Brothers (if you play with friends)
Starfox 64 (if you're into flight sims)

GC:

Super Smash Brothers: Melee (if you play with friends)
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (haven't played it yet, but I've almost purchased it about 10 times now :P)
Baten Kaitos (If you're into RPGs)

There are probably dozens that I'm forgetting at the moment, but I'm sure there are others that can come up with more. :P

BTW, what is your genre preference (if you have one)?

I like jsut about every genre, though my favorites would be anything fantasy/adventure/RPG.

Oh, also, games I already own:

GBA

Golden Sun 1&2
Pokemon Emerald and Sapphire
..some Quidditch game.

GC

Tales of Symphonia
FF: Crystal Chronicles
Starfox Dinosaur somthingorother
Animal Crossing
Paper Mario (Thousand Year Door)
Simpsons Hit and Run
Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life

N64

Paper Mario
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Smash Brothers
Snowboard kids (1)
Mario Kart

For Gamecube, you should definately get Mario Party 5 or 6. For me, 5 was the best and I would advise you to buy it. It's a fun game.

I agree with Ammer... Mario Party games are so fun and crazy if you get other people to play with you... I usually get hyper when I play them and yes... XD. They get a little repetitive after a while though...

For GBA, you should get (...............guess what I'm going to say..........................)

Fire Emblem, duhhh.... because... it's Fire Emblem!! XD.

(it's a strategy RPG. RPGs rock. Strategy games rock. Conclusion: FE rules XD)

You have some good games that I want =[. But I don't have GameCube! But I want to play Animal Crossing and PM2.

Well, you could always get Super Smash Bros. Melee... =P.

Megaman Zero four has great perks, the Zero Knuckle and Parts system. Not to mention a new weather system added. *Drools*

Fire Emblem for GBA

Perfect Dark for N64

Is Fire Emblem good? I've only played a little of its predecessor (FE6), I hope NoA did a good job with it. ^^;

Fifty dollars, eh? D'you already have SSB:M? If not, get it. It'll be the best game investment you'll ever make. Also, Wind Waker is a very good game; great replay value for an adventure.

For the N64: the Pokemon Stadium games are very fun, especially the minigames.Other than that, I don't know what to say.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is something no GC owner should be without.

Mon Oct 31, 2005 7:56 am

OMG! You must buy LoZ: Wind Waker!

And Super Smash Bros Melee, and Soul Calibur II (actually, Soul Calibur III should be out in the US), are both good games.

Though you have some awesome games like Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door... such an awesome game, and I'm going to be buying FF: Crystal Chronicles soon...

Erm, anyways, back to you... like I said, Wind Waker, and next March-ish Twilight Princess, two must gets!

Soul Calibur III is a PS2 exclusive. ;)

I agree with Perfect Dark. Get it before the sequel comes out and ruins it. >_>

Oh yeah.... I keep forgetting seeing as I'm very annoyed about that fact (like it much better on the GC, and I can't imagine playing it on the PS2)

Erm... sorry, that was off topic. :P

I think I've got a pretty good idea of what to get, now. Thanks a ton for your input!

Sun Nov 06, 2005 6:06 pm

I suggest getting a GC and getting the best games for it.

Tales Of Symphonia
Phantasy Star Online
Super Smash Brothers Melee
TimeSplitters 2
Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker
Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness
Metroid Prime
F-Zero GX
Resident Evil 4
Killer 7
Ikaruga
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals (it's good if you have a GBA and link cable)

And there are tonnes more!
