Yep, you heard right, Maxis has now released the information for the third expansion pack for TS2, and it's called Open for Business.

I had a feeling they were going to do a work-related one next. This one should be awesome because you can be the boss.
Now I just need to get the first two expansion packs...

I just hope they don't abuse the expansion pack like they did with The Sims 1. Too many expansions will ruin the idea behind the game.
And am I the only one totally freaked out by the faces of the Sims in these 3-D games?

This should be fun, I got bored of sims 2 since i got full skills and my main character became like a great great grandaad.
I suppose its another thing, i'll get it, i always get the expansion packs. Stupid sims 2 invading my dreams and making me.

Well, seeing as how it probably takes them twice as long to make the packs, they probably won't.

I believe there are the same number of expansions planned for the Sims 2 as there were for the original Sims. Given that Sims 2 came out in September of 2004 and there are already 2 completed expansions and a third that will be ready probably be released this spring (I'm guessing on the release)... Yeah, they're going to "abuse" expansion packs. ^_-

There's University, Nightlife, and this one. What's next?
"The Sims 2: Convicted Felon"?

Given the uproar, there will almost certainly be an expansion with pets. Personally, I'm hoping for something that will introduce more things for children and teens. They're my favorite age groups. I'd like it if they had some sort of after school activities, etc. Nightlife added some nice options for teens for dating, but I'd like something that's more familiar to me. I was in lots of after school activities, rather than a carefree teen. That being said, I doubt I'd actually want to *follow* them to said activities. I'd just like to send them to them, and perhaps that allows them to gain skill points, or perhaps something to go towards a future career, etc. IE drama club would give creativity or charisma, tennis team would give body...that sort of thing. Not that it'll actually happen (would have to find some way to make that fun for the player), but a girl can dream.
I took a break from the Sims 2 after I got Nightlife because I had been spending entirely too much time playing. I started playing again last night, and I can't wait to start spending too much time with it again. ^_-

Sim Drama Club would be hilarious.
"Ber da der, der baba mur."
"Yay!! -clap clap-"
[You gain 1 Charisma point!]

They probably will do pets next. If they do, I hope they have more variety of pets, and more interactions, like your pet can get sick and you have to call the vet to make a house call.
They might also do vacation again, but they'll make it more fun, because Vacation in TS1 was horrible IMO.

If they just re-hash all the expansion packs into 3-D then it was a waste of time to make the concepts seperate from the original game. I agree, pets would be a good idea, however, it's something they could've added in to the original version of Sims 2.
"[FLUFFY] is sick!"
"A da wana dep snah?"
"Call the vet!"
You don't really need a vacation version, or a "Magic" version.
"Sims 2: Nightlife" I guess is to cover Hot Date, and/or the part of the first two expansions.

They do it because people buy it.
I wonder what Sims 3 will be like.
Sun Dec 11, 2005 1:16 am
If Maxis and those people have enough sense, you could have an optional first person perspective on some instances in Sims 2, and later Sims 3.
Of course, there would still be pixelation censoring in the bathroom and whatnot, but it would make the experience more enjoyable if you felt like it was actually you. Also, that means they'd have to put more effort into making the people less like the scary neighbors you don't talk too because they smile too be [ala

].
Sims 3 will, hopefully, work out any bugs that the second one has, and work the most popular expansions of the two previous games into itself. So that they can then, in turn, work on more unique expansions (such as "The Sims 3: |337 H4><0r).

If real-life weren't fun, there would be no Sims.
The Sims 2: Math Club Meetin'!
I would go to Target and exchange my soul for that. Maybe not. Target stinks, after all.

What? You don't like Math Club?
Besides, think of a Math Club expansion! Your little teen-sim could come from school with a popup that says, "Billy got shoved in a locker today!" and he's all in the red and everything.

That = absolute briliance
Some of the expansions, especially this one, make me with you could play sims on a network of freinds, if i could have my sims and some of my fgreinds sims on the same neighbourhood, it'd just be so fun. We'd have rivalrys and freindships and fights like far more entertiaining because we didn't just change to character to make it happen, both are playing the characters.
I think if it was like that with the new expansion, we could trash eachothers stores aswell *yeah go big stores trash the little ones* and then ruin our freinds sims livelyhoods
How crazy would that be>? All you'd actually need to know is the personality ect of the sims, and a little donwload everytime u started up depending on how much has changed.
