The chains can hook onto walls and help you get back up.
It could help you in a tight situation. Trust me.

I presume that's just an idea, and not the real thing, because there's way too much XD.
Some I really think they are not going to have though... poliwrath?
Omg, some of my favourite Fire Emblem people are there... Carrion and Leaf are just cute in general, and Lyn rocks. No Eliwood, though? Nor Ike T_T But all the sword people are pretty similar... so I'd say maybe Hector and Lyn will get it =P. And EWW Myrrh... I don't like her =.=".

Yea, that is way too many characters. All the different marios and luigis should just be different modes of mario that he can transform into, kinda like shiek and zelda.
What would be really cool is, one of the characters should be ditto. After a pokeball is thrown, and a pokemon comes out (or if another pokemon like pikachu is currently being played), then ditto would be able to transform into that pokemon/character. Or, at least have a move like kirby's absorb where ditto learns a move from that pokemon. That would be awesome.

An idea of pokemon.
An "idea"...
Ditto is somewhere in the middle.

Yeah choose a random nintendo character - beat up some other random nintendo characters - it's insane

Haha, it's the reason I originally bought a GC, and will probably be the reason I buy a Revolution.
Great game. :p
It's like a 4-player fighting game, but you'd really have to play it to get a feel for it. It's not designed like most (or really, any other) fighter.

I bet they thought Eliwood would be too much like Roy (but they do have Link and Young Link, so I can't talk). However, Ike has a good chance of getting on there, as does Hector (first axe-wielding character in SSB, eh?).
I think there are a few characters that are probably going to make it: Meta Knight and King Dedede, for starters. Another one is Rukario-- that new legendary Pokemon. He's part Fighting type, which would be good for SSB. Also, the Wolf-Link from Twilight Princess would be kind of cool to have (rawr i'm gonna bite you. :<). If not, how about a Nintendog? Kill 'em with cuteness.
Okay, I went a little haywire there, but no matter. XD

The Rukario?
Haven't heard of him.
It says the SSB3 will have an enemy called "lady hand".
She could create illusions and stuff.

It is very special. Instead of the usual objective of fighting games of killing someone by getting their hp to 0, smash has a damage system where more damage makes you fly farther when you're hit, and the objective is to knock you off the screen. It's also the rare 4 player game thats able to be played without dividing up the screen into 4 sections.

Not only that, it also has event matches in which you have to accomplish a a certain task.
