Does anyone have any idea what this is? I've never seen something like it before. It's not a frilled, it's not a geode, and it's not a dino. So what is it?

I noticed a few of them on thedcfansite daycare thing. I have no idea what they are, and I haven't seen any new eggs. Are the speckled eggs geode eggs?

I haven't seen a geode egg yet. If you're talking about descriptions, an egg that appears on the front page and is described as being 'speckled' may be a geode egg, as I know of no current egg that is descibed as such. If you're talking about how they actually look, than I think you're thinking of Dino eggs (who are described as ''This egg looks like it doesn't belong' - there are four different add-ons to this description, one for each colour, but I don't know them all. However, one may say speckled...)

It says speckled in the description, but looks like this:
Image
"This egg is speckled and looks very fragile."
Possibly geode? Also, I just saw a gold hatchling, gold egg, pink unknown thingy, silver egg, speckled egg, and silver hatchling in the Abandoned area in the space of about fifteen minutes. :o

EDIT: Nevermind, the speckled eggs are the eggs of the pink blobby whatchamacallems.

Apparently, they're 'holiday' dragons. What holiday? Perhaps belated Valentine's Dragons?

Oh, and here's a better shot of it, as well as images of the Geode Dragons:

Image

Quote:
Aww...It's a cute baby dragon. It seems shy, but loves attention.

Image

Quote:
Aww...It's a cute baby dragon. It seems shy, but loves attention.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.

Edit: and these are the geode dragons:

Image

Quote:
Aww...It's a cute baby dragon. This hatchling doesn't move much, it appears to be covered in stone.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing. However, the wings look too heavy to fly, and are filled with beautiful crystal.

Image

Quote:
Geode dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material, as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Edit2: and here are the frill dragons:

Image

Quote:
Aww...It's a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.

Image

Quote:
Frilled dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight, and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the "best" frills being more likely to breed.

Edit: New eggs/hatchlings needing to grow up:
