Long story short, I just returned after a three year break from neo to find there's a spiffy new feature where you can have a gallery on your main without cluttering up your shop.

So what happened to all the gallery accounts with items sitting in it for over 99,999? I ask because I'm pretty sure I have my gallery account username right, and I've also tried like 50 million variations. but with no success of tracking down a username.

Did they get pruned? Prices knocked down to 99k automatically? What?

Hoping it will offer some kind of explanation as to why I just can't seem to get in a username that exists.

It makes no sense at all, I can remember my first ever username for neopets, that I created like seven or eight years ago. It just seems like my gallery fell off the face of the planet. I also swear to god my gallery accounts pets name is in use by someone else. Urgh!

There is a chance I just forgot it I guess, I am willing to admit that, and if this post reveals nothing shocking I'm going to just assume I have.

I read a while ago in the news that they were going to start deleting accounts that hadnt been logged into within the past year.

I'm not sure about what happened to the old gallery items as I didn't have one way back in the day but this part of your post..



makes me think that either your gallery account had a really easy password and an awesomely named pet so someone broke in and took it, or your account was deleted for inactivity. TNT is usually really particular about how they delete accounts, and the fact that you actively used it at one time makes me skeptical that they did that, but otherwise it makes sense.

I collected a bunch of stuff in my mains SDB, and one day decided to put it on a gallery account for organizational issues. I pretty much dumped almost everything in there within an hour or two of it's creation. You could count the number of times I actually logged in it on two hands, perhaps even one.

Not an awesome pet name, not an expensive gallery really, and the password is a string of what seems like random words. Nobody in real life knows my password either. So meh...

Probably got deleted.

At least my main remained (I'm a poet and didn't know it).

Thus the rebuilding process begins.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was deleted. I've noticed a lot of names lately that should have been (and probably were) snatched up years ago on accounts that are only a couple months old, some even still free. Maybe TNT has re-evaluated their reluctance to delete accounts. Just a theory.

They've been deleting pet, and presumably account, names with regularity for quite some time now. If I had to guess, I'd say for about the past six months. About once a month or so a bunch of newbies and pets will pop up with names like Bob or Apples.

Just confirming that yes, they're deleting accounts too. A few of my friends recently created new accounts with names they've been stalking for quite a long time.

I'm sorry you lost your gallery, though I will say that I'm very pleased that TNT is finally seeing fit to free up inactive names.

Hmm, I hope they're at least giving out emails or something and giving people a chance to log in before just deleting them.

I know I'm not really active on my account right now, but that doesn't mean I don't plan on going back sometime.
