I have a pet who was meant to be a Red Xweetok for the rest of her life. Her name has the word "Ambrosia" in honour of her shiny fur. With the old Xweetok picture, I thought that I could do better with a custom image, but I didn't have any complaints. Unfortunately I simply cannot get used to the new official image for Xweetoks. They (to me) have lost all their grace and charm.

Here's how she used to look:

I'm quite attached to the idea of her as a Xweetok, but at the same time, I don't like seeing her look this way. One of my options would be to keep her as a Red Xweetok but then draw a beautiful custom image on her lookup. The upside is that I ccould make her look however I want. The downside is that the official image would still be displayed on my user lookup.

Another option of mine would be to paint her Sketch, because I feel that the errors of the new look are less visible with Sketch Xweetoks. I could then also draw her a beautiful custom image on her pet lookup. Here's a Sketch Xweetok image:

The downside to this option, however, is that her name looses its meaning.

Another option I had would be change her into a Faerie Pteri. Ambrosia loves climbing and hiking, and a Pteri is another species that could enjoy heights. It's colours would also compliment her name:

Although the new Faerie Pteri isn't as beautiful to me as the original, I still find it quite pretty.

Her personality, by the way, is shy, kind and friendly. She doesn't talk much, but she's a great listener and is very good at keeping secrets. She loves hiking, camping, and being surrounded by nature. She likes to grow plants and herbs for their beauty, as well as for medicinal purposes.

I voted in favor of keeping Ambrosia as she is. It seems to me from your post that you aren't happy with any of the revamps. In light of that, I wouldn't want you to spend lots of neopoints on something you're not entirely happy with. So, have fun with your own artwork and save your money.

I'm kind of with sape on this. If you're not totally 100% in love with any of the colors, I wouldn't change it. Also, with all of the customization options out, there may end up being some fabulous Xweetok clothing options that could enhance Ambrosia and make her more like you expect her to be. Also, keep looking through other colors to see if there is anything else that sparks your interest. Good luck with your decision!

I think I'm going to wait a bit longer before making a final decision. I'll wait and see if any clothing comes out that makes the new xweetok design look better to me. I think I'll also do some custom drawings of her as a Xweetok, and see how I feel about that before I decide to change her.
