Each year, as winter draws to a close, the Festival of Neggs turns everyone's attention toward this most magnificent and versatile of all Neopian foods. Offering a bountiful array of Negg-inspired activities and treats, in just a few years this celebration has quickly become one of Neopia's most popular events.



This year's Festival of Neggs could be the best yet! For starters, there will be two Negg Hunts—one for Patterned Plastic Neggs and another for Plain Plastic Neggs. Also included will be an event-long search for Mini Neggs at the behest of the so-called "Real" Negg Faerie. Rest assured, it's going to be Negg-nificent!

There are 3 sections to the hunt - 2 NP and 1 NC.

The main negg hunt is for the special coloured neggs (Plaid, Swirly, Polka-Dot, Striped, Zig-Zag), you read the clue, then search the area indicated. You find 1 special negg a day. After finding all 4 neggs in a group, you get to choose a prize from a prize pool.

The secondary hunt is for 10 plastic neggs scattered throughout Neopia. You need to find all 10 in one day to claim the prize. The prize also needs to be claimed straight away as it will be lost when the new day starts.

The 3rd part, is the NC quest. You will find a mini-plaid negg somewhere in the same place as the regular plaid negg. It is placed in your inventory and you will need to buy a Handy Negg Enlarger for 125 NC. This enables you to get a wearable.

There also seems to be a 4th part, which is currently still locked - The Mysterious Negg - The Protector's Journey.

Should this "Mysterious Negg" be something big like I'm hoping, I'll be extra consistent from here on out...on Monday. Stuff to do during the weekend.

So far I've managed to get each negg the day of. I do hope we get some kind of plot. It's been a while. But I prefer a mini-plot, to be honest. Not a ton of time to spend.

I've been a day or so behind on most of the neggs. I agree that a mini-plot would be nice. Hopefully one that doesn't involve a lot of time for each step...

Part 2: Go to the Mysterious Negg and you will find the icon of the backpack. Click it to return to Zaira. We are given an entry from the Journal (Entry 2).

We are now getting clues to a logic puzzle, basically we are going to have to solve, -

1. The name of each of the 5 in the journal
2. Which negg they have
3. Where they took the negg.
4. Ocupation.


Part 3: Entry 5 of the Journal is available to read (the entries are being random and not in order).

Read through the journal entries and find the clues to work out who has what negg, their name and occupation and what land they are going to. I have put my clues into a spreadsheet to make it easier to work out.

At this point, the 'solve' tab is stil greyed out and unavailable.

Part 4:Entry 7 of the Journal is available to read.
You can now choose to solve puzzle: You need to solve WHO and LAND (for the clockwork negg).






Part 5:Entry 9 of the Journal is available to read.

Part 6:Entry 12 available.I was hoping today would bring a definite statement about my guess, but no such luck. I am sure it has some logical meaning and brainer people will get that "OH" factor....but for me, I am just scratching my head.

Part 8:Entry 17 available (and the last entry). NO more clues...time to solve it.

Yay, a logic puzzle! I did put a random guess in; there's just not enough info to know whodunit yet. Jellyneo has a partial "solution" on their page, but they say that

It is to do with the timeline.

Ah, good point. I didn't consider that the clues should be taken in order -- that's atypical for most logic puzzles, but of course it fits here. (Though seriously, they spent days arguing over who was going to go where? I have a feeling they never made it to safety with that clockwork negg!)

ETA: If you assume that the clues should be taken in order (which really only makes sense), you should be able to solve it today! I had a gut feeling it'd be one of two people; I guessed the wrong one the first day guessing was up, but I changed my guess pretty early today.

Yes, I eventually narrowed it down to 2 team members, one of which I picked yesterday (after changing my answer after 3 hours). LOL

I don't usually do well on these, but surprisingly I managed to (hopefully) deduce enough to have answered correctly.

Hmm. Apparently that star-gazing thing was not a reference to Altador. Today's clue contradicts the assumptions made earlier, but if you just take the clues as they are, ignoring order, you should discover who took the clockwork negg to where. I really wish now that I hadn't listened to JN and had followed my own gut -- my first guess was correct, but now it's made 3 days later.
