The answer was the Faerie Cloud Racers Play Button.
It was definately a tricky image ... since *just* outside of the area they picked ... there were orange, black, and white places.

The clues:
Atjj: thanks to a recent change in the rules, everyone is now allowed to get in on the action.
I don't think you've always been able to pick among all 8 characters in this game. That was a 'recent' change.
Edit: This refers to the Neopedia article ... as well.

If you're a bit ditzy or not completely with it ... a common saying is that your head is in the "clouds"

Ah ... Atjj's hint was much more direct that I had thought. Those words do appear directly in the neopedia article, I now see.
I hadn't even realized the hint was googleable.
