Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (Round 121). We have given you a Blue Clockwork Grundo, an Avatar, and 1247 NP!
The answer was: Number 200
The painting number was the angle between the hands on a clock for a given time.
*Careful* ... the little hand moves during an hour as well!
At 9:20 ... the little hand is 80 degrees below the top, the big hand is 120 degrees from the top. Add them together to get 200 degrees.

ohhhhhhhhhhh
angles... how unfortunate for me *bangs head on table*

Pretty decent payout of a LC.

I got the angle thing, but I missed the part about the hand moving during the hour. Silly me.
Edit - Post 1000! Par-tay!

I had figured quite a few people would put 210 as an answer ... I think that is why it was a decent payout.
Congrats on 1000.

I got a different answer for the LC and it meets EVERY criteria given in the puzzle....
Lay out the clock at 30 degree intervals for each number on the clock in couterclockwise fashion (i.e. 11 = 30 degrees, 10 = 60 degrees etc). Then at 11:00 you get 30. At 4:00 you get 240 and 7:30 will give you 315 (due to moving the hour hand to halfway between the 7 and

....OK But there is NO mention that the hour & minute hand are viewed differently!!!! So at 9:20 the hour hand is 1/3 of the way from 9 to 10 (or 80 degrees) and the minute hand is on the 4 (or 240 degrees just like line 2) Adding that together you get 320 not 200..... How can you assume that the degree is 120 for the minute hand on the 4??? When the hour hand was there it was 240, there is nothing to tell you the minute hand would be different!!!!

I'm was a little confused with your "other" solution ... but it does seem to make sense. Sorry, it happens sometimes ... I've been on your end too many times, as well.

Well, I did think since a clock is round, it is 360 degrees in movement. Since time moves forward in just one fashion, it was logical for me to count the degrees between the little hand and the big hand, clockwise. Thinking this way, I got 200 and not 320, not by counting the differences to 12 but by counting all the way from the little hand to the big one. So, I think dgrussell just counted : ah, 4... was 240 from the previous. It was... but that was counting from the 4 (the little hand) all the way to the big hand at 12. Very easy mistake to make, I heard lots of solutions (amongst others : putting up the painting in a specified per hour rate, which was mathematically correct if you sneaked in 12 hours somewhere) which all made perfect sense, only to turn out incorrectly.

New one:
I'll never get it

I think Neocolours might come in handy, but I can't get to the site

I've got it, hehe, errm, I'll try thinking of a hint
Edit: Don't think in only one dimension

Easy.
HINT:
-hint too revealing-
JasEdit: I'm sorry, but that was practically giving it away. Please try to be more vague with your hints.

This one was too easy...which means itty bitty prize pool. people on the neoboards are giving way, way, way too many good clues! they're practically giving it away! it stinks.
I was pretty late on this one...I was too busy trying to play Faerie Bubbles so I could win Better Than You instead of trying to solve this stuff.
Update, I just went to the boards again and people are SAYING the answer. gosh! did anyone put a space in the answer, or not. i didn't put a space.

Does it have anything at all to do with the poses/colors, etc of the pets? If not then I'm totaly barking up the wrong tree....*goes back to trying to figure out the poses*
