1st August - Discovery of Meridell!

* The 30th July marks a very special occasion for the citizens of Meridell. As that was a Sunday this year, we have extended the festivities another day. To start off, can you think of something funny to say about this new Caption Contest?
* This week's first Pet Spotlight award has been given to a Kau called Kauwbaka.
* All day today, games set in Meridell will be giving extra Neopoints!!
* Four never seen before Petpets have just gone on sale at Ye Olde Petpets, I wonder where they came from?
* A new Story Telling Competition has begun.
"I told you to be quiet," the Lupe sighed, staring down at the frazzled blue Kyrii, who was still gasping for breath at his feet. "You have to tiptoe in and stay against the wall, then" Conrad stopped his lecture as he noticed that his sister, who'd begun to recover, was staring at something she had clasped in her paws. "Don't tell me you actually managed to get something on your first try?"
* When your Neopet is visiting Meridell, be sure to let them sample some of these new Foods. They may be simple, but they are very yummy.
* There are four new Shopkeepers for you to choose from with a Meridell theme.
* Make today even more special by unlocking this new avatar...
* All of this celebrating seems to have put Kayla in good spirits, and has worked wonders for her Potion Making.
* Give your shop or webpage a change by adding this new Blog.
* There is a rather spiffy new Background for your desktop with the Meridell coat of arms on it.
* You are never to old to love walking around with a festive balloon!

The petpets are pretty cute, but where are the pets? Royal? Maybe even the Darigan Pteri, that would have been nice.
