Petpet Levels

All of my petpets are level 1. How do you increase their levels? Is there a petpet training center?

You can increase(or decrease) them using the Petpet Lab Ray. I don't know of any other methods (if there are any), though.

They might've changed it but I remember that back when you were able to use petpets in the BD, you could raise its level by having it fight in the petpet BD. What's the use of having a high leveled petpet anyway?

You can also use the Petpet Battledome to raise your petpet's level.

Like ggaghc, though, I'm not sure what a raised level petpet does, if anything.

Turmaculas can also riase the level.
I dont know what advantage a higher level petpet is either

having a high petpet level used to give you an advantage in the battledome, but didnt work out well since it was used to power up your attacks when used. So they took that use of petpet levels away, and now it doesnt have any use.

I believe the petpet level did nothing, but having the petpet did improve battling. but yeah, now petpets exist just to look cool

I don't think so. it's entirely age.

and regarded the PPL, i'm really mad at TNT. when PPL first started, they said that colour didn't matter and that the award would go to all colours of the species. but now they made colours matter. so yeah, i missed out on some awards

As I recall, colour *always* mattered when it came to the PPL.

Your pet's level can also be raised by visiting the Symol Hole. I just had it happen the other day.

yeah, supposedly colors didnt matter, but i got jipped my prizes for the cyodrake ppl because he was painted ghost.

Well, they've had up on the PPL page for as long as I remember that colour DOES matter.

The colour of the Petpet does matter. If they select Pink Kadoatie, and you have a blue one, sorry no NP.

I remember reading that shortly after the PPL started.

In fact, this is from the Neopian Times just a couple of weeks after the PPL was announced:

But the icing on the Petpet cake came recently with the announcement of the creation of the Petpet Protection League. Basically, this is how it works: If you have a certain type of Petpet, like a Pink Kadoatie, for example, and it has been attached to your pet for longer than Dr. Sloth has been green, you could actually get a lot Neopoints for doing nothing but letting him sit there doing nothing.

If the Petpet of the week is a pink Kadoatie you get 10 NPs for every day he has been attached to your Neopet. If all of your Neopets have pink Kadoaties then you get 10 NPs for every day all of them have been attached to your Neopets and 278 Neomails asking you why you are so hung up on pink Kadoaties. If you happen to have a Petpet that is so old that he is sprouting whiskers and walks with a cane, you could even get on the high score table and win a trophy for having the oldest, and most wrinkly, pink Kadoatie.

But there is a catch to this. If you happen to have a blue Kadoatie and the Petpet of the week is the pink Kadoatie, you get zippity-do-dah. Nothing. Zilch. Zip. Nada. Since there are over six hundred Petpets and Petpet combinations and only 52 weeks in a year, it could take a decade for your Petpet to be chosen. Just warning you now in case you get too excited about this.
