Anything good from the Shop of Mystery?

I used to buy something from there every so often, but all I've ever gotten are cheap junk/weaponry. Is it worth it buying the more expensive things? Or just a waste of NP? Has anyone ever gotten anything good? Thanks in advance.

While buying the most expensive bags can yeild some nice prizes (Octos, White Mallards, Ice Desks, and Rainbow Carpets) I have yet to get something that cannot be bought elsewhere for cheaper.

I once bought two of the cheapest bags, and got a Pile of Dung and something else completely worthless that I can't quite remember.
