Does Level Matter If Other Stats Are High?

My Lab rat is only Level 2 because the lab ray keeps knocking him down to Level 1. But all his other stats are really high. Will the low level affect his other stats in the Battledome?

You have to be a certain level for a bottled faerie to bless your pet with an ability (varies by ability). Abilities are very necessary in the BD; everyone should have at the very least burrow and sink. I think you can get all useful ones by level 30. Also, you have to be level 50 to use the berserk attack option in a fight. Finally, you can't train anything at the academy or training schools unless your level is half your highest stat. But having a low level won't make your weapons do less damage than they would otherwise or whatever, no.
