Frozen Account

Neopets froze my account! They said that someone else had been using my account. Does anyone know if I will get it back, and when? And also If I was logging on to my own account on 2 different computers is that what could have caused the freezing? I am so angry! Im sick with strep throat and all I want to do is play neopets and I cant!

It may be that a hacker got in your account and neopets froze it. What you should do is send them an email explaining that you would like your account back, and provide as much information as possible about your account. You should be able to list some things stored in your SDB. You could tell them about some posts you made over the last couple of days, or some other information that could prove it is your account, such as books your pet has read, neomails you may have sent, or other information that no one else can see.

ya i filled out that form and everything. At first it said that my account was frozen for unknown reasons, then after I filled out the form and sent it to them is said that the account was being used by someone who was not the original owner. Im so bummed I had over 300 thousand NP's and my pet stats were good had a bunch of map peices and recently got really really addicted to the tale of woe plot after I did the altador plat. When do you think I will get it back?

I am sorry to hear you were frozen.

There is a bit of a wait. If you don't hear anything after 3-4 weeks, fill out the form again. Be as thorough as possible to get the quickest and best results.

Same thing here. I sent Neopets a snail-mail letter Monday. I can't wait for a response!

That really stinks. It's happened to me once in runescape but I got it back because I emailed Jagex about it. They didn't believe me that a hacker got onto my account and stole my stuff, but they let me back on anyway.

who can I email? How soon did you get it back? I think they froze it because I stopped playing for a year or something and now I play everyday...

There must be a freeze blitz going on at the moment.

Both my Son's account and my own account were frozen yesterday.

The reason given was:

"This account was one of many being used by the same owner to earn Neopoints"

Yes my Son uses the same ISP and yes so do *I* and ironically after filling out the form my daughter got frozen as well!

My son and I both pay PREMIUM and have done for a year. He is beside himself because of his dear pets may be lost to him forever... I can't believe this is not a glitch/system error.

You think your slightly peeved? I am shattered. I suffer from agoraphobia and for the past 15 months Neopets has been my life.. sad eh..

We also have to wait to see what they deem fit to do with the past year of our life - on their whim.

Having not broken any rules AND PAYING CUSTOMERS.

NOT impressed!

More then one person plays from my home.

Neopets has advised the following one more then one occasion.

Always have different email addies clearly done on each account.

Fully log out of the account clear cache and cookies and even reboot (if needed to be sure) before the next person logs in as it helps clear things.

If you don't you really are kinda at risk.

My nephew plays on my husbands pc and I make him follow those steps as I wont risk Pete's account and we've never had any trouble in 3 years.

So I really do hope they'llf ree yer accounts soon.

I play from my work computer and from my laptop. maybe thats why they say that someone else besides the owener has been using that account, because I play from 2 seperate computers. AHHH ! I hate this!

The same thing happened to me. Don't worry, it'll probably work itself out... but it's a bad deal cuz you lose almost everything even if you DO get your account back...
