What is the best BD weapon for around 250k np?

I was thinking about buying a winged scarab but does anyone have any better ideas?

It completely depends on your current weapon set and your pet's species and stats.

All a Winged Scarab is really good for is physical defence, and it's best if you have high strength and really low defence. I would suggest you get a full, decent set before you even think about that. Something like this would serve you well:

-Stone Club or Ice Club
-Earth Faerie Slingshot or Earth Faerie Bow (the other club later)
-Scarab Ring
-Greater Healing Scroll
-Green Frost Cannon or Snowglobe Staff
-Leaf Shield
-Downsize!

Other things that are nice to have, to switch in if you need them:

-One-use bomb for tough opponents (Chocolate Chip Battle Biscuit is good)
-Purple Sticky Hand (some opponents have weapons worth stealing)
-Mysical White Cloak (defends against the icons Leaf Shield and Scarab Ring don't)

Of course, if you want to use Leaf Shield and Scarab Ring and stuff like that, you will have to train defence. Even if you're a labber, I would suggest you train defence (and level) as you lab, to keep your pet balanced. The tons of hit points and strength you get free from the lab will make up for the cost of training def and level.

IF you don't want to train defence at all and plan to have one of those pets with an absurdly low level and defence, high strength and high hit points, forget all shields and dual-duties and go for something like this:

Stone Club or Ice Club
Earth Faerie Slingshot or Earth Faerie Bow (the other Club later)
Winged Scarab
Greater Healing Scroll
Green Frost Cannon or Snowglobe Staff
Downsize!
Bomb (one-use for now... a Honey Potion someday)

well I was curious as to what is better then the dark battle duck since that is just a kinda one way street item so this topic is quite an interesting one.

I have two items I do enjoy one being a keeper but one use per battle so I'd love something to possibly replace or meld on into my set with my sos and my dark battle duck. I also use a honey potion, any ideas/suggestions?
