Question about hatching draiks and their gender

Sat Nov 25, 2006 2:00 pm

I have a blue draik egg that I am looking to hatch. My question is, if I hatch a draik egg will I get to choose the gender? Or will it be random like it is for when a krawk petpet becomes a krawk pet?

Please only answer if you are certain, because the gender is kinda important for the name I have chosen. If it's random, I'd rather use a potion. But an egg is cheaper. :P

I don't know the answer to your question, but if it is random, you could always fight the lab ray scientist use one of those gender changing items if it ends up what you don't want it to be.

I've never hatched a Draik egg OR created a Krawk, but I've heard that when you hatch a Draik egg, since you can't name the egg like you'd name the petpet, you're taken to a Draik version of the Create-A-Pet page. You MIGHT be able to choose the gender there.

Otherwise, if you're looking for a female Draik, you could always raise your pet's intelligence a bit (I think it has to be "above average" or higher) and get it to use the Cape of the Sun in the battledome. That changes it's gender to female. :)

There doesn't seem to be a male alternative, though. :(

One of those items is the Strange Potion.
