One Dubloon and Two Dubloon Coin

Just checked the shop wiz. It seems that the 1 dubloon coin is more expensive than the 2 dubloon coin. Doesn't make sense...
Is it because Coltzan is too nice and gave out too many 2 dubloon coins?

I wouldn't be surprised if the demand for one dubloon coins has gone up due to the last plot. I've been going to the Academy since part way through the last plot and noticed the prices have steadily gone up. I'm sure that's one contributing factor but don't know if it's the only one.

It's because New Member will buy two one-dubloon coins, then be excited enough about using the dubloon-o-matic that they don't bother checking the prices. There's no way back after that.

Also, the Academy only takes EXACT change. You need to buy something to make use of a two dubloon coin for the most common training levels. Nothing is sold one dubloon in the pet shop, so you have to go to the golden dubloon. Sometimes it's too crowded. Either way, it's a pain!

Wow... I've never heard of someone doing that. That'll hurt the wallet. I wish that the dubloon-o-matic could make change. This way you could get a larger dubloon and break it up into smaller denominations while saving neopoints. Granted everyone wouldn't take advantage of it but hey it'd be novel idea. I suppose it could create an interesting way to restock also. Might really throw dubloons prices out of whack though.

The reason why they don't allow smaller change is because it's worth more. 5 One Dubloon Coins are worth much more than 1 Five Dubloon Coin. And you know TNT would want to do something to make anything cheapier

I think it's because of the recent plot as well.. I've seen a slight increase of prices for Dubloons and Codestones before the plot, probably in anticipation of battles/war. But there's been a massive increase after the plot, probably because everybody wants to be prepared for the next plot. Right now those Codestones are really hurting my wallet...

But that still don't really explain why the 2 dubloon coin is cheaper than the 1 dubloon coin...

Because lots of people never bothered before with training, but now that they had to fight in a plot, they see the benefits of training? So many will have to start with the One Dubloon Coin, driving up the price. That would be my guess..

Also, from my own experience I've gotten more Two Dubloon Coins than One Dubloon Coins from Coltzan's Shrine, so maybe there are simply more Two Dubloon Coins?

It doesn't matter that much anyway, the price won't change if we suddenly discover the reason for this occurence

Two dubloon coins are given out slightly more often from the shrine. also, a few years back, one dubloon coins were given out at the advent calendar, making their prices drop dramatically. what effect that has on the prices today is uncertain
