Who to lab -- Chosen to train?. [ERROR FIXED]

Sun Dec 24, 2006 2:42 am

Dilemma;
I'm possibly going to get the four below pets. The Darigan Kougra [currently an Acara] is my main battler, already invested in with some codestones until the level of 21 and average stats around the 20s. The Darigan Krawk, on the other hand, is the most expensive to get by oneself - currently 3.9m or so. The first Xweetok holds no true purpose other than being one of my favourite Neopets. The second Xweetok will be the result of a completed FFQ and have a strong personal meaning. No pets will participate in the battledome except the soon-to-be Darigan Kougra.

Gaining more avatars also come into play. This could be fairly longterm, or not. Depends on my mood.

I'd prefer to paint them all at once, otherwise, which is why I'd gain all the money beforehand -- if I had to endure long periods of waiting or not.

Say, figuratively, that I have just enough to complete all this as of this moment. [Again, just imagine. I sure am.]

x Would I zap my Acara for the stats, before painting until I reach desired effect, athough I've trained him with codestones already to a minor point?.
x Would I zap my soon-to-be Krawk, before I morph it, and use the money to train my Acara with codestones?.

I made it come down to my Acara and future Darigan Krawk because of the fact that zapping any other pet wouldn't bring me as much merits as stuffing an extra 3.9m in my pocket for codestones. [If I had it, that is.]

... and Lastly; The reason I train for the battledome is to participate in plots and gain a few bonus trophies from DoN. It's not that big of a priority considering battling plots don't seem to come around that often anymore.

Really, I love all these pets the same. If I would prefer one over the other, I'd go for that, but I don't -- that's the difficult part.

This is why I think you should use your to-be-a-Krawk pet:the longer you keep zapping, the more zaps you're getting out of the ray and the higher your chances of getting any of the avatars. You said yourself the Krawk will be the most expensive of the four, so it'll undoubtedly take the longest to save up for.

My former rat is now my battle pet, and I can say I'm certainly not looking forward to bringing her back to balance. Her defense is ridiculously low after a year of zapping, especially compared to her strength and HP stats; I'll have to get her to Bezerk Level before I can even begin training her in defense, or any other stat. I don't even want to think about how many codestones this'll cost me. The only reason I stopped zapping her was because of her brilliant color change to robot. I think it would be better for you to train your Kougra strictly on codestones and dubloons, just so you can avoid this.

In your post you said that your battle pet has an average level of twenty. Please keep in mind that this is rather low. I wish I had trained my pet more aggressively when I first began because the price of codestones and bottled faeries continues to rise.

Of course that's rather low. My point is, keep that little amount of stats considering the battledome could do exactly what the above poster said, or zap them because they are, infact, low?. :P
