Premium Mail

Did any other premium users get this messege from TechSupport saying this:
Dear Subscriber,

On January 3rd, Velocity Services, Inc. will be conducting scheduled maintenance within its data center facility. As a result of this maintenance, you may potentially experience temporary service interruptions between the hours of 10:00 p.m. PST 1/03/07 and 10:00 a.m. PST 1/04/07.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,

VSI Product Team

I don't know what that means.

I got the same message. Did yours also have the same message written in Spanish?

I guess we will at least know why we are having problems this time, maybe this will help fix some of the random glitchy-ness? I am curious as to whether any non-premium user have access to this info... o_O

I can't even access that e-mail address right now for some odd reason...

I got it in spanish too.

I think everyone who has premium got that email from Velocity (in English and Spanish). It seems the portal is down at the moment, not just email.

Whatever neo glitches there are, this should have nothing to do with it. Velocity is the webmail and portal provider (along with dial-up if you have that).

And no, non-premium wouldn't get the email -- they don't have premium, thus they don't have the @ neomail service.

Thanks for the update, EC! I couldn't get into my portal and thought that maybe I was the only one having this problem. So, I called Neopets and can't even get through to tech support. Just dead air after I enter my telephone number under their tech support option. Not a very good way for someone to run a business. Especially when they are getting $8 a month from me and countless others. They should have a tape recording saying what the heck is going on with premium right now, because my guess is that lots of people are calling. So not cool to just leave us hanging like that.

Ahhh.. is that why I can't see the toolbar today?! :D

Also, could it be the reason I can't access my premium account at all? The page won't load up...

Hahaha, if I could get through to them, I would! :P My cable company and electric company both do that. I just call, put in my phone number, which locates my street address and I get a message saying something like, the following areas are without service, blah, blah, blah, our crews are currently working on the problem, service should be restored within x hours. How hard can it be for Neopets to put a recording on their phone line? Especially in this day and age of modern technology. Shoddy customer service, if you ask me.

At the very least, they could stick a darned blurb about it in the News or on the front page.

I can't get any neopets page to show up, not just the portal. I mean, home page http://www.neopets.com is not displayable on IE.

I'm having the same problem, both in IE and in Firefox. But it's only on my premium account. (Of course, I can't log into my side accounts either, now, because I can't even get the pages to load). It'll load up my pet lookups and my userlookup, but when I try to switch out of "portal view" nothing happens, so I can't load up anything else either. x-x I thought this was supposed to be over by 10AM...

Consider yourself lucky. x-x I can't go anywhere. It was working fine on my non-premium accounts, but not on my premium. I also can't get the webmail to load up...I guess I'll wait 'til tonight and see if everything's back up. :(
