Well, I was looking at one of my stocks and it had risen by 6 but when I rechecked it about 2 hours later, it had gone down by 1...
I was wondering if this is normal?
Are stocks supposed to rise and fall multiple times a day?
I had come to believe they only rose/fall once a day

To my knowledge, the stocks have changed throughout the day for quite some time. At least as long as I've been actively using the stock market, which has been for the past year to year and a half.
