Dear Wolfy,

Your Neopian Times submission (He wasn't always blind) was rejected because we had too many good entries in this category this week and there was not enough room for them all. Please try again next week.

Yours Sincerely,
The Neopets Team

Too many good entries in the category? So I was rejected? Well, ain't this wonderful! :x Yeah, they've got a wonderful way to make someone feel "loved"

First time I ever submitted anything other than a question to the editorial and it gets rejected....come to think of it, they don't even answer the questions I submit to the editorial.

Aww, WolfMaiden, that's sad. But, hey, they did imply that it was a good entry by saying that they had too many "good entries" this week and to try again. At least they didn't say anything negative or bad about your submission, like go back to the drawing board and try to do better. So, keep submitting it until it is accepted. That's what I would do, anyway.

Yeah, I just checked, and I thankfully saved the whole thing to the computer. So I don't have to rewrite it again. I'll resubmit it next week. And keep doing it, until the accept it.....and then I'll have to think of something else to submit.

I'm currently working on a Comic to submit. Oddly enough, it deals with a Ninja Lutari I had to draw for an art trade with a special PPTer. ^_^

Honestly, I wasn't even expecting them to even message me about it. Usually they don't. I mean, they say {dealing with gallery spot-light} they'll message you, and I've never got a message....so that time kinda surprised me.

It was rejected.. but not rejected, if that makes sense. They think it's good enough to be in future ones, but by the time they got around to your submission, they'd filled the current issue.

Just resubmit next week :)

You should be happy it wasn't a rejection. This is just their way of saying "We liked it, enter it next week!". They do get a lot of entries per week. You can't expect all that are submitted to be published straight away.

By the way, if they do reject something. That means it definately isn't fit for the NT. Unless you edit it until suitable. But yours wasn't out and out rejected, so don't freak out! ;)

It does depend on which member of staff reads it though, I've had one piece rejected a few times for "too many good entries" and then again for "being too broad". Meh.

That is actually a GOOD thing. It means that your entry is good enough, and if you submit it again right away, you will most likely get in the next issue. TNT has tons of submissions, and some good or even great things need to be submitted multiple times.

Don't let it get you down!

Most of my 16 published entries needed a second or third submission before being published.

Keep entering and good luck. :D

I think I'll go and resubmit it. I hope TNT does one of two things

1. enjoys the story and publishes it. Or

2. gets tired of me submitting it, and publishes it anyway :D

Usually when it is rejected for too many good entries, best bet is too turn right around and resubmit to get it at the top of the next queue. If it is then rejected for another reason, tweak it and send it back in. Trust me, we all have had to play with that since Droplet goes through several thousand submissions a week.

oops, you just reminded me I have a pirate themed picture to draw n___n;;;
yay procrastination!

I'd suggest just resubmitting it. With the amount of entries they get they might have not even read it. Sorry to be the pessimist but I've had about 25+ Comics rejected from the Neopian Times over the years and even when I've got a Too-Many'd, the next week I've been rejected which is why I always think that they haven't read my comics. Probably isn't the same for you though - especially if you submit them early in the week. ^^

Meh, just keep going. I've never given up... even if I always feel I get the "You're-good-at-the-RC-give-up-already" feeling with every rejection letter. Anyway, good luck. ^^

Edit: Be happy that you actually got a reply though - for about 3 of my comics I've never had a reply from them. I submitted them over and over again but just never got one for some unknown reason. If that doesn't make you feel loved I don't know what does.

It's allways the same person. She probably noticed it wasn't right later.
