Lenny Conundrum 207

Thu Mar 15, 2007 12:01 am

The current prize for the first 250 correct entries is a Orange Filled Jacket Potato. You will also get a cool trophy that people can see when they do a user lookup on you! And all correct entries will split the 2,000,000 Neopoint prize pool.

Fill in the blanks in the story below. The first blank has two letters. The second one uses the letters in the first blank, plus an additional letter. (So, it would have three letters total) The third one uses the letters in the second blank, plus an additional letter, and so on.

John decided to go for a stroll around Neopia Central. After he stopped __ the book shop, he went into the ___ Centre. He saw his friend Alan in the middle of a ____ because they told him that his drawing wasn't good enough for the gallery. John wanted to _____ Alan to draw better, but it had been so long since John did any drawing of his own, he did not ______ his drawing skills. He was ________ that there was no way he could help. Alan's __________ was to suggest that they team up and collaborate on artistic ____________ .

What is the final word in the story?

I have the first two words, but I'm stuck on the next one. Does anyone know if the order remains constant from blank to blank, or if the order can be jumbled in each one?

I'm pretty sure the letters can be jumbled each time. I'm stuck on the fifth word o_O

I've been stuck on the last word for 3 or 4 hours now. :cry:

And yes the letters can be jumbled each time.

They were all super easy, but I'm stuck on the last one and can't seem to get a reasonable anagram by adding all the letters in the alphabet to the second last word. o.o;

ETA: nevermind, I got it. It looks like TNT edited the conundrum. Earlier today, the last sentence was "Alan's __________ was to suggest that they team up and collaborate on AN artistic ____________ ", and now it is just "collaborate ON artistic____________", which clears it up a whole bunch.

:o So I wasn't losing my mind earlier!!!! I just looked at it earlier and thought it was something where my brain perceived something and that's what threw me off when it was first posted.

Yeah, it's a good thing I read the conundrum page over again, otherwise I would have entered the wrong answer! o_O

He saw his friend Alan in the middle of a ____ because they told him that his drawing wasn't good enough for the gallery.

I personally find this sentence amusing :P

I'm not sure about the 7th word at all. The first 6 I can make a good argument for, but the 7th for some reason doesn't seem right for some reason. Did anyone else find this to be the case or is everyone getting the answer easily? Please let me know at mailto:kassimer1@neopets.com. Thanks so much. kassimer1
