To complete Brain Tree quests, you need to go to the Esophager and complete two of his quests. He'll give you the answers you need.
Unfortunately, he tends to ask for VERY expensive items, and the Brain Tree prizes tend to not be so great. Because of this, I don't tend to bother with Brain Tree quests.

To complete a Brain Tree quest, you'll need to do two Esophagor quests. After one quest, the Esophagor will give you half of the information you need (either the date or the place). After the second quest, you will get the other piece of information. Good luck!
