I'm in a neopian crisis!

Wed Mar 21, 2007 9:30 am

Please help me! I'm in a crisis:
1. I lost almost 190000 neopoints on the brain tree quest and that was more than half of my bank account.
2. My pet's level is going down and I need this cuz my hp is now 69.
3. I'm stuck on beating AAA on destruct-o-match.
PLEASE help me!

just a note, you shouldn't post how many np you have (or something that means people can work it out).

why?

Its a precaution most people take (and that we here at PPT greatly support) as it lets scammers know who they should target.

Anyway, the Brain Tree Quests are usually never worth it. When even trying to do one you should always start the Esophagor one first to price out how much the first half will take you. If the price for the combined two is going to be over about 5000, its probably not worth it. Its much more beneficial to try the Snow Faerie Quests in Terror Mountain. If you've lost so many Neopoints to the Brain Tree Quest, you should stop. They're obviously not paying off and you're only going to keep losing money if you continue. You haven't lost all of your points and you do have the chance to make back what you've lost through games and restocking and whatnot, so don't think you're too far in debt to ever get out, because you still have more Neopoints than a lot of people.

How is your pet's level going down? We can't help you if you don't tell us why you're losing levels. Its probably the Lab Ray or Von Roo's dice. Both of which will stuff with your stats and unbalance them. The lab ray will especially drop your level right down. If you wish to maintain training your stats properly, its probably best not to zap or roll the dice with your main pet as its going to force you to retrain lost stats.

Finally, there are many guides for Destruct-o-match. Look for them on sites like http://www.pinkpt.com or http://www.jellyneo.net. If that fails, ask people who are good at the game for helpful advice.

Don't worry, its just a game. Its not really a crisis if you're in a bit of downspell in the game. Just stop doing Brain Tree Quests and stop doing whatever you're doing to lower your level and work on Destruct-o-match. Practice makes perfect and the other stuff will come right eventually.

I am horrible at games, but as far a level I can help. If you are going to lab your level will go down, no way of getting around that. You are going to have to train level.

Yikes mate. Just stay strong, we all go through hard times. :)

Well thanks! I just did the brain tree quest for the first time ever and that happened. I'm back to a month ago again. Von Roo is supposed to raise my pet's levels so I think it's best to continue that. However the main reason is the lab ray. Yes i think I should stop for some time till I finish the swashbuckling and then start again.

Well, it can go either way depending on how you time it. The level of your pet won't always go up. Here's one guide, and there may be one on the PPT site somewhere too. Darn, I miss the days when staying up until 2 AM was no problem. :(

Anyway, sorry you lost so much on a quest, but now you know they're not always worth it. (Experience is an awful teacher, she gives the test before the lesson! :P) I haven't done a Brain Tree quest in ages. Mostly I stick to the Esophagor, Snow Faerie, and Kitchen quests. If you're smart about it, the first two can net you some profitable items; the last one can randomly give you stats.

My rules of thumb is as follows: Don't do any Esophagor quest over 200 NP, no Snow Faerie quest over 3000 NP, and no Kitchen quest over 1000 NP. Unfortunately this means you'll be letting a lot of these quests expire once you see the items they require; but at least you won't lose hard-earned NP and, usually, if you stick to those limits, the few quests you do complete will get you at least a little profit.

Hope this helps. :)

Most of my "crisis" is now gone, I beat AAA on destruct-O-match and my pet's level has slowly risen from 8 to 14 and is still rising. But my big and main problem which is unfortunately growing by the day is the neopoints loss from the brain tree which I still haven't been able to "cure". Can anyone give me some tips to earn money fast?

How is your problem growing by the day? If you're losing more money, stop. Don't keep doing quests. Just stop.

I'm not losing anymore money. It's that I'm not earning enough for to recover this money loss.

You will eventually. Just have patience.

The #1 easyest way to make np's is the stock market, buy 1000 shares every day at 15 and sell at 40,45,50,or even 60. Just play enough games everyday to buy your stocks. Following the above advice will get you 2-3 million a year min and prolly a lot more.

About the Brain Tree, just ignore he exists. Go to the Esophagor (only when you're NOT IN a Brain Tree quest), and do his quests when he asks for stuff under 100np or so. He can give very nice items. I've gotten a 100k plushie and 100k BD item in the past year, and I've read about other cool stuff people get from him too (A Mysterious Valentines Day Card, for instance.) Sometimes he'll give 300np crap; it's always completely random.

As for money making tips, make a list of games to play every day that are fast to play, have good payout, and you are good at. Put them as links on a petpage for easy access, or the game room's favorite list. I've been using the petpage way, simply because the favorites list didn't exist when I first started doing it. Here's mine, as an example.
Play "your" games every day and it'll go by pretty fast. I think I spend 10 minutes a day on games, and 5 min on dailies and my shop, and I make anywhere between 100-200k in a week. :)

I do stocks but the stcoks don't seem to ever rise!
And I do some regualar games. Personally I don't do games that don't give me 3k although meerca chase and turmac roll are exceptions.
hmmmm....... Thanks! Also is it logical to do scratchcards?
