Daily Dare help?

Thu Mar 29, 2007 2:15 pm

Hey ya'll.
I have tried and tried and tried and tried, but I can't seem to beat these four Daily Dare games:

Faerie Cloud Racers
Magax: Destroyer
Attack of the Revenge

I have read the guides, know the rules, but I can't seem to master the controls. Does anyone have any more tips for these that will help me get more points before I die?

I like all of those games minus Faerie Cloud Racers.

Faerie Cloud Racers - umm just be patient and don't lose your cool. you'll get lucky eventually. If you're going for AAA's score good luck. I did it but only with plenty of perseverance.

Magax Destroyer - http://www.neopets.com/~bandit_4812 <Best guide I use because it has the max scores you can attain per level. Well minus jubjubs of course. With that game until you get the hang of it you absolutely have to take your time. I go right but going left is just as easy. Whichever way u go edge forward some attack an enemy and continue on. If you fail to kill them just head the opposite direction and turn around again to make another attack. It's time consuming but the best way to easily beat it. Don't get stuck between two enemies because you could turn into a pinball and lost life fast if you can't control the character.

Attack of the Revenge - I presume you already know about the cheat for an extra life, blackpawkeet. Use the cannonballs and water bucket as much as possible to double your score for attacking the enemies. Also loading the cannon is simple and gets you an easy 12 points. It takes practice and you have to best fast on your fingers in the later levels. If someone slips past try not to get bent out of shape.

Are you trying for AAA or Abi? I think that'll really help in determining if you just want some more pointers or you need some advanced instructions.

Where exactly are you stuck on the games? The advice varies in different parts of the game ;)

If you're challenging AAA and you have trouble with the later levels of AotR, here's a tip: if you get to the level where you have to get like 750 to advance was it? Anywayz, that level where things become much too fast: just let the cannons burn down. If you use the cheat to get an extra life (only works on level 3 and later), you have enough lives left to continue playing the level. With the cannons out of the way, you can move in the front row undisturbed again, and you can also concentrate on the boarding pirates as well (no more filling cannons and hosing them down).

This works for just one level, since the cannons will be restored the next level, but it'll be enough to get the required score ;)

If you can't get to this specific level yet, then all I can say is: practise :P

Yeah, I think it's going to be a lot of just "practice" :)

I'm not challenging AAA, it's Abi's score I can't even get up to.

I think my high score in Revenge is 126, so perhaps that extra life will do it for me.

For FCR and MD, I think you guys are right - just... keep... doing... it... slowly. *sigh*

I'm just afraid I won't be able to get them by Saturday.
Wish me luck!

Attack of the Revenge, i was stuck on that one forever and just beat it. I just forgot about the water and cannonballs and kept killing them with the sword, got enough points to beat abi .

On the cannons...I try to load them *first thing* a the beginning of the level. This doesn't require darting in and out, and can be done very quickly and can save lives lost to them being lit. It may seem simple, but it can help a lot.

Good luck!

I was pretty bad at first because I wasn't too fast. But when I get spastic and move quickly, I was able to easily beat Abbi. But practice and you'll get it, after a few tries I was able to beat all of those.
