Secret Lab Map...

So... I've been reading a lot of topic about the Secret Lab Map... I just have a few questions if someone would be kind enough to answer them.

I've been on Neopets for a long time, but I'm just starting to delve into the deeper parts of it. For me, it was always about playing games and just taking care of my pet. Now that I have over a million neopoints, I want to start looking into other things.

What exactly is the Secret Lab?

What are the pieces called? (So I can try and find them in the Shop Wizard)

What do you do with them as you collect them, or when you are done collecting them?

If someone could answer these questions for me, I would so appreciate it. I've been trying to find a forum that might answer them, but I couldn't. I'm sorry if this was posted earlier.

What exactly is the Secret Lab?
It is a ray the you can zapp your pet once a day every day which can change it's stats, gender,color or species(when this hapens for the first time you get an avatar)

What are the pieces called? (So I can try and find them in the Shop Wizard)

Importantly - it's random, you can't choose what happens.

The items are named the same, so you have to look at them to see which one it is. they are like normal items, until you go to the labmap page with all 9 in your inventory, where you will find the lab and the pieces will dissappear.
