The stock market after 1 year

Sun Sep 02, 2007 3:02 am

First off this is not to brag, just to try to convince others to take advantage of the stock market to earn lots of neopoints. I have kept detailed records for the past year and have sold 186,000 shares for a profit of 5,880,000. Whats my secret you ask ? Just to buy 1000 shares every day at 15 np's.

Do you have a minimum sell point? Mine is 200%.

Early on my sell point was 39 or 40 because I was still not convinced about the whole stock thing,
now its 55-60.

I have to agree: Stocks are a great way to make money! Much of my np has come from playing the stock market, though I often forget to buy my daily 1000...

The downside though, is stocks are expensive, and are a long-term investment. Still, its pretty impossible to lose at them, unless, on the very rare off-chance that a stock goes bankrupt...Which almost never happens.

For those who know nothing about the stock market: get around 100-150k, and THEN start investing. Buy 1000 stocks a day, but only at 15 np(The cheapest price you can get), and sell ONLY when they are up. They WILL go up eventually, just give it time. Try waiting to sell them until they hit a certain point, probably around 30 np a share for those who are just starting off. Once you have a sizable bank account, wait for them to get to ~60.

The cheap stocks, scroll down a bit to find the ones that are at 15 np. If you can't find any, check back later in the day, because prices may have changed.

The best way to do it is to force yourself to earn 15K NP a day by playing games or whatever, then buy stocks with it.

My TNAH stock more than doubled in price since the last time I checked, nearly...three months ago. :P So my grand total now? 1,590 NP (I could never force myself to buy that many stocks).

wow...I am inspired. I just checked out the neodaq stock reportcard (http://www.neodaq.com/reportcard.php?sort=Grade) and invested in 1000 shares of TNPT. Here's hoping :)

Good luck and remember to be patient :) Looking over my notes I had no sales in the first 30 days and only 3 after 60 days, but after that things really took off.

It's amazing how much you can make on stocks.

Ever since I started my real-life 401K, I've been interested in the Neo stock market.

I really glad to see that it's working for you guys. I was hoping the patience would pay off over time. :)

401K in real life? :o you giving handouts?

yeah, stocks are awesome. though i definitely don't buy every day, i do try. and i know pretty much all of my ridiculous amount of cash came from stocks. i still have about 2.5 mil sitting in my portfolio, waiting to increase in value

A 401k is actually a type of retirement plan that allows you to invest part of your paycheck tax free.

But on the subject of the Neostock market, I play it (I probably make 150k a month) but I love games and I can make about 800-900k a month just playing them, and if I was a 100% saver I'd be making 10 mil+ a year just on games. If I invested 15k a day (and didn't sell any stock) I'd be making a third of that a year. Adding your amount of 5 mil in from stock sales, I'd hypothetically make an annual amount less than what I'd make just playing games. And that isn't even factoring in bank interest.

And I know what works best for me isn't what works for everyone, some people struggle making 15k a day with games. But I always hear how easy and profitable stocks are when really you are making as much long term as I can short term. And I know some people who are really hardcore about the stock market and can make 1 mil + a month, and I'm super jealous of them. But I think for the casual user, having a daily routine of games is just as profitable or more so.

And I'm not meaning to argue or put down anybody, just offering the opposing view point. :)

I usually buy 1k shares as often as I can, but I sell at 60 or higher to maximize profit. It is a very easy way to make money :)
