Daily Dare Rules wrote: * Before choosing your Daily Dare challenge, you might want to practice the game a few times. Once you select a Challenge, your choice cannot be changed.
* Once you feel confident in your skills, choose the score of either AAA or Abigail as the one that you would like to try to beat. To make your selection, click the link under the picture of either AAA or Abigail.
* Once your score has topped that of your selected challenger, send your score and come back to the Daily Dare page to collect your prize!
* Even if you decide to take on AAA's score and come up short, you will automatically be credited for a win over Abigail if the score you send is higher than hers. However, when doing this, you will not receive either AAA or Abigail's daily prize for this game.
* Not only could your participation play a role in freeing AAA and Abigail, but there are additional prizes for true gamers!
o The Ultimate Prize - Beat AAA's score on the launch day of all the games.
o Uberiffic - Beat all of Abigail's scores or a combination of AAA's and Abigail's scores on the launch day of every game.
o Megasuperb - Beat AAA's scores for all of the games by the end of the Daily Dare.
o Spifftastic - Beat all of Abigail's scores or a combination of AAA's and Abigail's scores for all of the games by the end of the Daily Dare.

I think if you hit the ice cream while you're still moving upward, the helmet works, but if you're coming back down, the shield protects you. In DoM, I guess since they didn't give you the shield yet they weren't going to penalize you for not being able to shield yourself.

You can only have one tool active at a time, so wouldn't you be unprotected through most of the start of a super-jump?

I've switched browsers, updated Firefox, updated Flash, cleared my cache, refreshed the game, relaunched the game, refreshed the page and THEN relaunched the game, and it STILL freezes right before the final level. I have not even SEEN this level yet, not a SINGLE TIME.
I cannot tell you how mad I am - mad isn't the word, but if I use the more accurate ones I'll probably get banned - that despite my hard work, despite trying and playing and getting really good at this game, and knowing full well that I could probably beat it and win the challenge, that none of it matters and I'll still probably miss out on whatever the final prize is just because of a stupid glitch in the game that probably won't even be noticed until the end of the week, when it's too late.
And that's a shame, because I almost always love playing Daily Dare, and this month was no exception. I hate it that a single game is now ruining a month's worth of fun.
EDIT: And yes, before anyone asks, I DID submit a bug report. Fat lot of good it will do, but whatever.

You beat it on AAA with only 3.5 hours of practicing? I've played at least 5 hours today (probably more like 7, but I was doing other stuff in between, so it's hard to say), and I still can't even consistently get to the last level on Abi. Ah, well. Tomorrow is another day. I guess I'll have Meepit v. Feepit to help me practice my letter-combo skills. Hopefully I'll wake up and find Dungeon Dash a tad easier tomorrow.Pickles wrote:Never want to see that (Dungeon Dash) again. Never. Even more so than Gummy Dice. That game irritated me like none other. But. I beat it, with AAA. After probably 3 1/2 hours of practicing.

Considering that on Sundays, I have a total of 5 hours of free time (and that's split into a 2 hour break and then up to 3 hours, depending on when my last rehearsal ends)....I'm miffed cause it meant I only had an hour and a half left over. And I'm really tired now.Siniri wrote:You beat it on AAA with only 3.5 hours of practicing?Pickles wrote:Never want to see that (Dungeon Dash) again. Never. Even more so than Gummy Dice. Siniri wrote:Rakumel, have you tried restarting your computer? Are you on dial-up or something? Maybe try logging out of Neopets, then logging back in? It's weird that so many are having major problems with the game when it works okay for so many others -- I don't know if it's a server issue or a connection issue... I hope you can figure it out!

Dunno, I'm not really an expert on this. In any case, I've done pretty much all I can do and I've thrown my little hissy fit, so...well, no use being upset anymore I guess. Just gotta go to bed and hope the issue's resolved sometime tomorrow, and maybe even that there's a small time extension (just a day, maybe) for those of us who were having problems.

I'm on DSL, the connection's working fine. That's not the issue. I've also logged in and out of Neopets numerous times, with no change. I haven't completely shut down my computer yet, but I have a feeling that that won't do it either (but I'll try it anyway, because you just never know). =\

Thanks for the suggestions, though.
