Why is this wrong?

I sometimes put the *Auto announcement system* in front of my post on the HC. When someone told me that I might be reported for doing so, I stopped posting that phrase. I don't understand why this is reportable, so can someone please explain to me?

They believe you may be using a program to make automatic announcements, which is against the rules on two fronts:
1) if you aren't making the post, but a program is, then it's spam (even if the information in the topic is relevant)
2) using programs is against the rules anyway.

Now, I don't think you ARE using a program to do that. But other people don't know that.

You are right. I did not use any cheat programmes. I wrote that because I thought it was a 'fancy' way of saying that the message is copy+paste from my word doc. I asked the HC about this and they all said that I am innocent.
