Some Questions for Premium Users...

alrighty...I;ve been thinking abt getting Premium and I was wanting to know some more *~personal experience...~* abt it to see if tis truely right for me or if I;d be jus as happy staying a free member...

1: what's the best thing you feel is abt Premium?! meaning...do you feel the access to private boards is the best?! or the ability to get more Something Has Happened! things then the free users?

2: what;s the worst thing in your mind?

3: have I got it right that the Super Shop Wiz gives you the lowest prices for such and such an item allll over Neopia?!

4: when you go to pay each month/year...does it happen on the day you originally signed up for Premium...or more like a certain day each month?!...yes I know you pay by credit card...that;s why I;m asking...and can you set it up to automatically go through?! or do you hafta say "yes I want this for another month/year" each time?!

that's all I can think of right now...thanks!!!...I;ve come to realize ppl here like to share their opinions so I feel comfortable asking...as I;'ll get the opinions I;m searching for to be an answer to my questions

3. Yes, SSW finds the lowest prices in ALL of Neopia.

4. It happens on the day you signed up (I think.) I know for sure that it doesn't happen on the same day for everyone...

On top of what has been said, I do love the additional SHH events. I basically re-routed all my unimportant day to day mail to my neobox now so when I go check through it I seem to always pick up an event. I have gotten NPs and some rather cool items out of it. I just got a gold disco ball out of the blue yesterday. Also the Space Fairy scratch card you get once a week has been good to me so far.

Also Super Shop Wiz is great. Its limited use, but when I am buying something for an avatar or an Illusen Quest or just something pricey I want, its nice not hitting the refresh 100 times and praying I caught the lowest deal.

I can't answer the billing for you off the top of my head. I am a bookkeeper by day so when it comes to home finances I unload them on my husband. I need to catch a break from the number grind somewhere. Haha.

Right now I have no complaints about it, just wish I could get make a referral or two for a prize!

I had Premium for about a year, maybe a little less. The best things about it at the time were no ads, the Super Shop Wizard, and the random "Something Has Happened" events.

The worst thing about Premium is the customer support. I remember there being several problems back when I had it, and each time I tried to contact support about it, they told me there wasn't a problem. The customer support was the reason I dropped Premium.

You definitely have the Super Shop Wizard down as to how it works. It's quite convenient for helping other people with quests and doing your own shopping for codestones and such.

Regarding the billing, I believe I started Premium on the seventh of whatever month I started. From that point on, my credit card was always automatically charged on the seventh of each month.

1: The SSW by far is the best thing about Premium. It's the main source of my Neopoints now. That and the SHH events.

2: Nothing has changed or been added since I've been a member (I'm in my second year). I wish they would add more themes or update it like they did the rest of the site.

3: Yes! You have that right...it's amazing *hugs SSW*

4: I believe it happens automatically on the anniversary/monthiversary that you signed up, but I can't remember...I'm on the year plan.

thanks for the replys!!!...I have now officially decided that I AM going to get Premium!!!...the good outweighs the bad...now jus to wait on the card...I was going to do the yr 1 right away...
if the card comes on time in 2-3wks I should have it...tee hee

now jus to get a refferal...I can get it now and wait to sign up right? or do I need to get it like jus before I go to sign up?!...

I would LOVE to refer you. You do need the card though when you sign up for the free trial as you need to put in the card information.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but here are a few questions from a far-off European looking to get Premium.

1/ What is the difference between Neopets Premium Dial-up Service with Accelerator (99.95$ a year), and Neopets Premium Web Pack (69.95$ a year)? I would guess that the former changes your provider to one run by Neopets, and the latter provides the same benefits, while not supplying a provider, or leaving the one you may already have unaffected. Correct?

2/ When signing up for a year, do you just pay the one sum and get 'left alone' for the rest of the year?

3/ Is there any other way of paying besides a credit card? I am currently not applicable for a credit card, but I have bought international before through money order (both currencies were euros, true). Maybe an international money order?

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

1. The Dial-up Service with Accelerator will change your internet provider to Neopets and provide the same benefits of Premium. The Premium Web Pack is just the Premium service. It allows you to keep your current Internet provider.

2. Basically, yes.

3. They no longer accept Paypal, so I don't know of another way

I know there's "gift" Mastercards/Visas - you could always buy one of those with however much you needed, and then use that. The only problem is you'd have to chnage your details before renewal if it was only loaded with enough for one year, as they'll try and charge the card again, and it obviously won't go through. Try asking at some banks about that?

you can get Visa/MasterCard bank cards through most banks...I don't know if you can get them where you are though...that's how I pay for Premium it gets put as a credit on the statement but then goes through like Debit

Im actually getting rid of premium. I wasn't on neopets for like 3 months and I made a deal with my dad that he could cancel my premium if he would buy me a 1 year deviantart subscription ( http://www.yabramokids.deviantart.com FYI ) Now that I think about it, I won't be able to brag about having the absolute lowest prices in neopia. Also, I have no idea how I'm gonna make an income! Maybe I can survive off of the 3000 neopoints of interest each day (yes, im rich)

Also, I hate how after restocking for several hours, it bans you after like 10 searches
