New mods are much stricter...

Sun Jul 06, 2008 3:20 pm

It looks like TNT may have hired some new mods that are much stricter :( I received yet another warning after saying "TNT probably uses warn/freeze bots" on the boards :P (The board was about a person unfairly frozen after he created a guild that "had an inappropriate subject matter", even though it was perfectly allowed and was unfrozen less than 12 hours later)

A few other people have received warnings for small things/bad reasons, and some didn't do anything wrong?

This is just a warning to everyone who posts on the boards to watch what you say and to be careful not to break any kind of rule, no matter how small.

Wow. Sounds likes someone's a new mod and is a wee bit self-important. Honestly, were they insulted by your statement? I've been posting a little bit in the Altador Cup board, but after getting frustrated with more people chatting than playing, I stopped. I guess I'll stop altogether though.

It seems sad really. My other account got frozen because I posted a link to another website (guild webbie) on my petpage.

I believe TNT has said before that they do not want there mods to be like that. If you feel you were unfairly warned/frozen send TNT a neomail and let them know. Mods who are acting like that I believe would be breaking the rules.

Someone else got a warning for the same thing yesterday night (when I got mine) and they said they didn't even post anything o_O I'll send in a report to see what I can do about disputing the warning. (This is my 2nd warning, so my next one will probably be a suspension, which is why I really want to dispute it :()

Perhaps they just wanted to prove that they were watching youuu?

Well, that is against the rules, so the mods had reason for that...though a warning would have been sufficient...unless they had sent you warnings before.

They sent me a warning, but only send a "reminder" to others?

I got a warning a couple months ago when I was trying to join my current BD guild, I had to provide proof of set, so I put my gbomb in trades saying NFT so I wouldn't get any offers and planned to take it down once 20 minutes had passed and I got a warning after about 2 minutes later from TNT saying that trades aren't for showing off items.

They really are a bunch of nounsimnotallowedtosay.

I often feel the same way :x My first warning was for the same reason (I was lending a mil to someone for Adam Av)

Just had to comment on this...

There must be new mods or new filter changes or something, because I know that a lot of the weird things that didn't get through the filter for whatever reason (like saying teddy bear... how is that wrong? XD) have been fixed.

However, I have also seen at least five of my good friends get suspended or warned for 'disguising links' by basically doing the old tricky "-fake link here that really is from photobucket but they changed it to neopets.com- replace neopets with photobucket blah blah blah" thing... guess they really mean it when they don't want links elsewhere D; Not saying they didn't deserve it, but it was shocking because TNT generally doesn't do anything about said diguised links XD

Neomail filters are especially strict too... I was trying to plan a donation event with some people on the neoboards the other day (we basically attacked the money tree with fish =P) and I neomailed someone telling them to come join in. I got a warning that basically said stop having guild live chats. ...What?

Basically what I'm saying is... be especially careful with links and neomail these days. D;

I try to avoid Neomail. I'm always wondering if someone is reading it for inappropriate content. :P

During the AC, I do the unthinkable and visit the Neoboards to post scores for my team. Apparent you can't type any symbols prior to "ss." As in you can't say "+454 SS."

At least I was smart enough to not start talking about my extreme amusement that Shenkuu has a one-eyed monkey on our team... and making allusions to the other team spanking him in the standings.

Also, I guess we're not allowed to post "F5" on the boards anymore...

Oh shoot.
Better start reffering to Family Force 5 without the acronym now, seeing as they pounce on anything. XD

I really am surprised that I'm not iced yet. XD The GDer of Gaia in me comes out whenever I'm on the Neoboards. x)

I tried posting "F5" on the boards, but it said I was using profanity and I need to edit my post. Once I changed "F5" to "refresh" it went through...
