New Items on Neopets?

As I am RS-ing in my usual shops, I have to wonder - when is the last time Neopets has actually released new items into the shops? I do not recall seeing any new items for some time now. (NC Mall excepted)

Any ideas when the last truly new item has been released into the shops?

Well, they regularly post items to the news stream.

But if you mean, when was the last time those items went live - it's been a while.

Yes, I meant when was the last time items went live. I know it's been a perpetual problem for Neopets, but what is the hold-up, really?
