Neopian Times submission rejected - "too many good entries"

Sat Oct 03, 2009 3:37 am

Hi, I've had two articles published in the NeoTimes in the past, and both times they were published about two weeks after receiving the message that the article was being "held over" and possibly included in a future edition.

Recently, my friend and I started working on a new article series. We submitted the first part, got the held over message...probably waited 4-5 weeks with no sign of the article appearing. In the meantime, we finished the second part and submitted it.

In response to the second part, we got this message:

Your Neopian Times submission [article name] was rejected because we had too many good entries in this category this week and there was not enough room for them all. Please try again next week.

Yours Sincerely,
The Neopets Team

I'd never heard of this message before and was a bit baffled. Around the same time, we resubmitted the first article, and this time got the same message about too many good entries in response.

Any clues what's going on with the NT? Any suggestions? Should we just keep resubmitting both parts until they get published?

I have gotten this message every time I've submitted something. I figured it was normal?

Yep, just keep resubmitting it or send a Neomail to nt_editor and ask what's going on.
