Wow, Daze, I'm impressed by your first post being totally ready for the rest of the month already!
But I agree, yay advent time! My kids have been ready for Christmas since the day after Thanksgiving. Now that it's December, I'm starting to feel it a little bit more.
December sure comes around fast these days!! I got quite a shock myself when I realised. I was around at my son's house to look after my granddaughter and I saw they had the Christmas Tree out, ready to put up. I had totally forgotten, as that is the first thing I do on the Dec 1.
Thanks Pickles! I just copy and pasted the code from the last one. It will make it easier to just add the information as needed.
It's all about making things easier for myself these days (especially with my bad back, which is getting worse).
December is the start of summer here and wowee, it has started off hot, another reason to lessen the effort needed. My local temp got to 41°C /105°F.
~~~~~ Bonus: Error: You already have the prize for this day! (I didn't). I will try again later. Snowie: Sparkshooter
Snowie: Coconut Keyring Bonus: Error (seems like everyone is getting an error)
It's 84°F here right now. Our temperatures have been crazy. Last Wednesday we were down in the 30's in the early morning, but it was only "cold" for two days (50's/60's in the afternoon), then yep, right back up into the 80's today. Yay December. And this is our "winter." Hah! We spent 2 hours yesterday trimming our front yard bushes and weeding the flowerbeds before we put out our Christmas lights!
Daze: The error is because clicking on the image opens a new tab that gives the daily prize (not the angelpuss bonus). And each time you click, it opens another new tab (or three... or ten). If you get too many tabs opening at once, try refreshing the AC window.
You can actually navigate through the animation now, which should theoretically make it easier to get the angelpuss. I think something's broken with today's, though (which is a little below the center, starting at 10s - it's tiny and sitting below the tree in the background). I'm about ready to give up on the bonus.
Snowager: Really Big Chunk of Ice
We skipped straight from summer to winter here, with temperatures below freezing for a bunch of nights already. We had a week of rain and temperatures in the low 40's (4-7 C). But today it's in the high 60's (20 C) with plenty of humidity to make it feel nice and warm. Maybe we'll get some fall after all? (Though, really, that's pretty typical for the winters here - but last night was much warmer for an evening temperature). Starting Tuesday we're back down to the 40's with freezing overnight (25/-4 C on Wed. - eek!). *sigh*
We have electric heat, and our most recent bill was much higher than last year's - and they read the meter before it really got cold! I put in new weather-stripping last February after our total power bill was worth more than my share of the rent (thankfully we split it 3 ways). I hope we can see at least a little help from it.
