Yeah, I found that a bit annoying, but it just adds to the challenge :D. I noticed they chaned the NP ratio on it too.

I'm too old for this!

Yay, I finally got AAA's score. What's really dumb about this game is since you have to hold down the mouse button, if you die over "send score" (or over "play again") you do so whether you want to or not. Yeah, I really wanted to send that score of 0.47 seconds.

I have discovered that after you lose, if you continue to hold the mouse button until it hovers over the option you want (send score or replay), only letting go when you're there, you won't have this problem anymore.

New Game is out! Chariot Chase, a knock-off of such great arcade racing games as Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Super Off-Road.

Strategy here is simple: Don't try to win. Among other things, you can't - there is no way to drive safely if you're driving to win.

Just hang back, scoot through the crossing of the figure 8 when it's clear, and collect power-ups as you see them.\

Payout on this game, currently, is 1:1

Anyone got any hints for this game? I just managed 365 and I think I somehow miraculously got a 390 once, but in the later levels, Balthazar starts off near a group of like 3 petpets, and I can't seem to save them.

I try dropping petpets elsewhere, but I often end up picking them up again -- it seems to drop them randomly near me instead of in the direction I'm facing. I really hate this game.

Are there any extra life codes or anything? Thanks in advance!

"Freeze" was a code for the first game. Unsure if it works in the new one.

By the way, a neat trick to get a faster version of the game:
http://www.neopets.com/games/play.phtml ... ity=medium

You'll get bounced to the game page, where you can select the quality version of the game that's best for your computer.

Thanks, shapu. I just managed to eke out a score of 505. Never did have time to type in the "freeze" cheat. But hopefully your tips will help someone else get there.

As a follow-up: "Freeze" does NOT work.

Here are tips that Blue gave on WGF about Exterme Herder 2.

Blue wrote:

Remember that you are faster than Balthazar.

Always pick up the petpet closest to Balthazar (unless they're too close and he'll get you). Notice that even if he's just about to grab the petpet, but you get it first, he'll turn around and head for the next closest petpet.

There is one exception to the above: if there's a pack next to the paddock entrance, slam 'em in unless one is in imminent danger.

I don't drop a petpet, ever. If I picked one up by mistake, into the paddock it goes, then grab the next guy.

Almost always go for the "freeze" crystal, and you can grab it even if you're hauling petpets. You can also run through Balthazar when he's frozen.

The "X2" is great. Since you're faster than Balthazar, you can usually get it, but don't go too far out of your way for it. You can also grab this one while carrying a petpet.

I do not go out of my way for the "fire"/fast crystal because it can make it more difficult to control Samrin and I have both run into Balthazar by mistake and been unable to get a petpet into the paddock.

Also - you can press 2 arrows at the same time to move diagonally.

Good luck!
