New game, part of the New Game Challenge.

My high score is 6100. Anyone got any tips on how to beat the 7k mark?

My highest was 6200 for a long time. I tried going to the hard level assuming that the points would be higher. Nope.

Play on easiest - you get to see all of your opponent's pieces, and apparently the scoring is the same. Unless you can finish a level in less than 30 moves, you need to take out all of the opponents pieces on every level to beat AAA with a score of 7050.

Other notes: The Acara can fly over (some) stones and opponents. Most important: the Acara is your only player that can take out the scorchios. The scorchios have a defense of 4, and the acara has an attack of 1, but the acara can destroy fire. She can also move pretty far each move.

In most of the games I played, I found you have no choice but to sacrifice players to achieve a win. Be sure to know how far the opponent pieces can move and stay out of range until you have your strategic placements ready. If you lose both Acaras before the other scorchios are gone, you won't be able to beat AAA...

Taking out all the baddies is the only way to get AAA's score. You can only get in the high 6000s through the few-moves bonus, even if you take out the opponent's Eyrie in the minimum number of 3 moves each round.

Of course, by the time I saw this, the NGC game had already changed... I hope everyone made it. You only need 5k to get 1k NP, though, which is easily obtainable by taking out the Eyrie quickly using an Acara. It's a relatively quick/low-involvement 8k/day if you play while doing dailies between moves.
