Noticed today that you can book your pets into the Neolodge up to 90 days!

Nice upgrade from the previous 28 days.
Yet another premium user perk. I really wish they'd stop spending time on more premium perks and get on with the plot, to be honest. I mean, not that I don't appreciate the perks, but it's getting to be too much.

The first Varwolves have been spotted in Neopia! These shy but sweet Neopets are still getting used to all the attention, so it will be some time before they will become available. We’re still trying to coax them out of hiding, so keep your eyes peeled for more news – we’re hoping they’ll be ready to come out and make friends in an all-new site-wide event in summer 2025!

In the meantime, you can get a Varwolf of your very own by using the Premium Pet Species Change perk starting on March 26 (3/26)! And don’t worry if you’ve used yours for the year – we will be refreshing everyone’s Species Change perk the day Varwolf goes live, so you’ll be able to get one no matter what!
Because...another premium perk. If you haven't used your species change perk yet this year and want a shot at a second one, do so ASAP.

For some tips about using the perk, check JN's guide (scroll down to the Free Species Change section). If you want a specific species/color, fruit chias are some of the easiest pets to use to get what you're looking for, as fruit colors aren't available for other species.

Ugh. I agree about too much effort going to Premium. I did get it for the first time in December, but had considered it for many years prior. The bonus perk prize was enough to sway me... that coupled with a phenomenal single day of tips that was equivalent to the prior 3 or 4 months*... I also was happy to finally "pay something back" to Neopets for many years of free entertainment. Felt good, actually. And, just having the site be natively ad-free and the SSW was perk enough for me. No ads on the phone is fantastic (I don't have an ad blocker on my phone Hmm.. *goes to look at the play store*).

*What a great and memorable day. Good thing I no longer drink behind the bar... Hoo boy was that a day! Slammed for hours. There is something about being way too busy behind a bar now and again to really feel alive. There is no pain, no aches, no nothing, just moving and relying on muscle memory to just flow through it. It is an awesome feeling, and endorphins flow. The aches and pains show up after you close and drive home... Still, so worth it.

Soooooo I took the plunge and migrated to Neopass a few couple ago (okay, truthfully, Mr. P migrated his account first to make sure there were no issues because I was suuuuuper nervous about it), and enabled 2FA for the first time. The transition went very smoothly (although 2FA needed 10-15 minutes after switching to be possible to enable properly). I had been hearing for a while that the bugs that happened when they first launched this last year had been worked out, and they do largely seem to have been. I've not run into any trouble yet. The one tip I've heard from multiple people is to make sure that if you already have 2FA enabled, turn it off FIRST, then migrate, then turn it back on. I didn't personally have to worry about that since I didn't already have 2FA enabled before migrating.

Linking the two apps was also relatively painless. It took some serious time for all of the items stored on Tales of Dacardia to come through (time with the app open), as I have rewards all the way back to July, but all of the items are in. Now I'm getting spammed with neomails every day as it slowly starts going through my backlog of NP rewards. For some reason, instead of the 100k max, it's awarding 300k max, so I guess that means it'll catch up sooner than I expected (but it's still going to take a while!). Faeries Fragments I was able to collect all of the level prizes with no issues, but there's not backlog of daily log in prizes...so I guess all of those have poofed (bummer, as it would've been a fair number of Sho Codestones and Faeries Fortune Scratchards). I have gotten the ones I've collected since linking, though.

All that being said, my primary reason is that with all of the incentives they've had lately to push people towards migrating, I've been getting the feeling for the last few weeks that this is them trying to get as many people to voluntarily make the switch before they make it mandatory for everyone who hasn't (kinda like they let us try out the beta version of the site before they forced all converted pages on us). I 100% would rather have done this in my own timing rather than be forced to when they decide. (It could also just be them trying to get people to migrate to make their metrics look better, but...who knows? I still think it's a matter of time before they decide they don't want two different login systems to have to provide support for and force the migration on everyone.)

My secondary reason for going ahead and making the switch was actually because BLP is talking about wanting a side account (he wants more pets), and he will HAVE to be on Neopass at that point, as you cannot create a new account without it. I'm still not sure about letting him create a side, but the discussion is happening, so we'll see how it goes.

Either way, it's done and cannot be undone at this point. Whether that's for the best or not...I'm not sure, but...there it is.

Glad it went well. I have zero desire to sign up for it, so if its forced, then so be it. Until then... nope.

Please keep us posted on how it goes.

I have already lost a couple of side accounts during the "big password reset," and I almost lost my main. For whatever reason, my primary personal email refuses to even acknowledge the reset password emails. Fortunately, it does recognize emails from the ticket system and Alice helped sort me out. After that near-disaster of losing my main, I changed my neo email to gmail... hopefully, there's no repeat of bounced emails.

I just got an armoured negg from Commander Garoo for the first time after fighting him daily since the plot paused, so it looks like the BD rare item drops never dropping glitch has been fixed! Hopefully that means the scratchcard active pet level award update will also kick in soon? Like, maybe before Monday? Fingers crossed!
