AAA 19/19!

You give me hope, as I am hopeless at this game. {goes off to study the PPT guide for the duration of her work day}
On a brighter note, I can now consistently score over 115 on Extreme Herder, and I nearly doubled my high score on Faerie Cloud Racers (went from 800-odd to 1500-odd!) last night during practice. I now no longer have any "reds" on my practice notes based off last year's scores - they've all been downgraded to blues. Now watch, since I've practiced them, they'll be the games that aren't revisited. :P Ah, well, I still feel better prepared for the rest of the month - well, except for today's. I guess it's time to start working on games that I'm not great at that were not used last year.

Oh, crud. I think I'm technically in line for Uberific, too -- which would be okay if I can't actually get one of AAA's scores, but if I worked my tush off to get Megasuperb and ended up with Uberific instead, I'd be a little teed. But I think if you've challenged AAA in every one and beaten him, the Abi fall-back shouldn't kick in. (Hey, TNT, are you reading this? Megasuperb is harder than Uberific, so make sure we get what we worked our tushes off to get!)

Wow, 3 puzzle ones in a row -- I'm so glad there's been a slight de-emphasis on clicking accuracy lately (although it's still important for MN and LiSF). Now tomorrow should be Word Poker! (or Sutek's Tomb) -- as long as we don't get the dreaded Buzzer Game.

Katdragon, for Sophie's Stew, try saving the cheat for the end -- just bounce the last item against the wall while you type it in (sometimes I type in all but the last letter at the beginning of the game so all I have to hit at the end is the "s"). Also, try to get extra lives by bouncing the high-bouncers into the flying thing and catching the green keys (though the max you can have is six lives, so don't risk items for extra lives). I try not to rely on the meowclops because he's a very finnicky eater -- instead, I bounce the ingredients on the far right of the staff so I need fewer bounces for each. When the speed picks up, I try to always get codestones in the pot, and sometimes if things get too backed up (I'm trying to juggle 2 or 3 items), I'll let one fall near the meowclops and cross my fingers. For Kiko Match 2, can you post your time remaining for each level you finish? Then maybe I can offer more hints -- it took me forever to get to 700, so I played more than 100 times last week (possibly more than 200 since DD started).

Oh, no! Have any of them shown up as wins for Abi? 'Cause I think TNT takes whichver one you do first...even if you challenged AAA and beat Abi first, it may take the score for Abi and put you on track for Uberriffic, regardless of later scores during the month. At least, that's how it worked last year...
Of course, if you haven't challenged either, you can still send scores with no consequence until you do select a challenge.

I did not challenge AAA in KM2 until I was sure I could beat him (actually had beaten him), so I guess I'm not really in the running for Uberific, after all... Well, now I'll just have to make sure I get MegaSuperb! Thanks for pointing that out, Pickles.

My previous high score on this game was over 600, so this was easy. The ppt guide was helpful in getting past a level or two I'd last beaten too long ago to remember how though ;)

I'm not sure that's how it works. On the first day for MJB I could only get like 2400 so that's what it showed under "score" on the DD page (with a "not yet" prize). Then later when I beat AAA, my score on the DD page updated to the 2800 one and the prize thing showed up. So I think it updates when you finally do send a winning score. At least, I hope so. I really, really, really hope so.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I beat today's game. I was worried since my previous score was only like 126. Got 1012 after a few tries with the guide :)

Ooh, I hope so too. This is what worried me, though - from the editorial:
Quote:
This year's Daily Dare has introduced a new rule. According to this rule, players who challenge AAA but can only manage to beat Abigail are credited with a win over her. I challenged AAA but could only beat Abigail at Sophie's Stew. My Daily Dare page shows that I haven't beaten AAA yet. However, it doesn't mention that I beat Abigail, either. Does this mean I won't be eligible for the Uberiffic prize or Spifftastic prize if I don't beat AAA at Sophie's Stew by the end of March? ~shilpa24386
We are working on this at the moment. If you beat or have beaten Abigail's score when you challenged AAA you will get credited with a win for Abigail.
I'm not sure if that means you can come back and beat AAA later, or not. But if it let you get the AAA prize...maybe it'll work!

I'm actually not that bothered about which overall prize I get, so I won't mind if it takes my AA scores instead. I guess I've just been chancing it that way because I have a sneaky feeling that either Kiko or DOM are going to defeat me, so at least I will still get a prize at the end.

It's interesting though Uberiffic is above Megasuperb in the chain. I've been working towards Megasuperb, but assuming I qualify for both I guess I might end up with Uberiffic.

Heh, it may be higher in the chain, but last year, the prize scale value was something along these lines:
Ultimate: 8mil+
Uberiffic: 20k
Megasuperb: 100k+
and I don't remember the last.

I got the last one last year, don't remember it being particularly valuable!

To be fair, some of the AAA prizes are worth 20-30k so it's not like you get nothing even if you miss out on the end prize. I guess I'm not so into that I care- I'm pretty proud of my 17/19 record against AAA!

And you should be!!! {huggles} Several of these have been very tough, especially for those who aren't normally gamers - even besides KM or DOM.

I don't think I would've had the guts to keep trying if I didn't have all the great people here at PPT, truly. Like yesterday - I probably would've banged my head against a wall had it not been for Daze's tips.
{{huggles to everyone}}

At jellyneo they had a banner up I guess for the third part of this. The captor looks like Magax. I thought it would be Balthazar. I hope this isn't Magax though. I thought he went to the good side and was fighting against Hubrid. Magax has a large scar and this wocky doesn't. So it might be some other character.

Spoiler contains possible kidnapper

So far I have 16 AAA/3 Abigail wins on day of launch.

Kiko Match, Volcano Run and Ugga Smash have been my worst games.

Edit: Found my image on the Neoboards. lol.

Good luck going for the Ultimate prize Pickles. I am glad my hints have helped. :)

It could be one of Jhudora's Wockys. I know on some old trading card she had two of them that she kept as pets but mistreated.

I really don't think it's an existing character at all, like Balthazar or Magax...unless it's some kind of joke. What I'm more curious about is why anyone would kidnap a couple of kids and force them to play video games. My personal theory is that Abigail set this up somehow, in order to scare her brother into spending more time outdoors.
