anyone cares to help? is it confirmed already that it IS on the room 12,12?
and please people, if someone finds out the book be sure to post the url, cause i think it's the same 4 everyone of us.

Okay, so now that I'm in the archives, can someone sum up exactly what I'm doing? I know I'm looking for some kind of spellbook, but is there a certain number of books in each room or what?

Alright, I'm spending the night with my computer finding the spellbook. What I am doing is: starting with a certain room, writing down their coordinates in Microsoft Word, and then tabbing through to the first book. Hit enter, back, tab, enter, repeat. Hopefully using this method I'll be able to find it.

But I may check (12,12) first just because there's a lot of people talking about it.

And found it! it was like the 22nd book.

Thought this might help others that were very discouraged because they couldn't find the spellbook in room 12,12.

So, those of you who found it at 12,12... WHere did you find your rags?

i've been through 12,12 twice now.. first time doing the mouse method, second time with the tabs and i haven't found my spell book... anyone finding them anywhere else? or else noting something like.. "i had my amulet on this person before i did it" or i did it at "this time"

The neoboards have a theory that it has something to do with the statue you found the rag behind. Now, I know we've already ruled that out, but I still tried rooms 10x10 (because the statue number in the url is 10), and room 8x8 (because that's the order in which we found the constellations). Still no luck. I have to believe there's some sensible way to figure out which room to look in, and that a certain percentage of people's happens to be in room 12x12, so they lucked out by guessing more or less randomly.

Oh dear, I seem to have forgotten where I found my rag! I want to say it was Jerdana but I'm not 100% certain . . . this troubles me. If all else fails though, I can just do 1,1 through 12,12 though, correct?

Anyone else trying spells yet? I'm not sure how to go about this.. just guessing randomly?? That could take forever though.. I've only finished about 150#'s so far out of 52k-ish.
