I like the idea of paying for an extra slot. I've been here for years and the only thing keeping me around are my pets. I'd certainly be willing to pay another slot on each account, and anyone who really wanted to have 50 pets could, it'd just cost a heck of alot of np.

It'd be nice if maybe you got an extra pet slot for every year you've been playing Neopets, like a 6th slot after one year, 7th slot after 2 years, and so on. I'd think after playing for so long, people deserve it.

Pixels that we love, care for, paint, and worry over when they get revamped. Having x amount of pets certainly won't matter in real life, but Neo has a life of its own. Harry Potter is *just* a character in a book, but if the author decided to kill him on a whim millions of children would freak. Although everything on Neopets is technically theirs to do with what they please, the players have still invested time, ideas, love, and, in the case of premium players, money into the site. Therefore I believe that it is wrong for Neo to tease its players and let a single person have more pets or receive special favors (featheralley.) And the whole orange-spots-on-purple-pets thing is just mean

If you really feel that they're *just* pixels, then why are you playing Neopets at all?

Because I don't have anything better to do with my time. I play, yes, though just barely. But I don't sit and moan about things that will probably never change.
Millions of people play Neopets, The Neopets Team know that they'll never please everyone on the site. However, they can please themselves, which is a great deal easier, and they do please themselves.

For the record, I hope J.K. Rowling does kill off Harry. I have nothing against the boy, but I write quite a bit myself, and I can see how having him die at the end of book 7 would work really well for the plot. I'd rather see her follow her ideas for the story (if that is what she wants to do) than to not do it just to spare the feelings of the fans. Anyway, that's not for this thread, there's a Harry Potter thread in the Library.

Final point: Artistic vision should come before what the fans want.

That is a great idea and one I'd be very happy with if they implemented, plus the fact that paying for that extra slot would "prove" that you would be investing time into your pets welfare. Few people would splash their cash for x number of extra pets if they weren't going to do anything with them. I'd happily have a fifth pet on my main account and I'd probably leave my side accounts as is. But like you say if someone wanted 50 pets overall then they could if they saved up enough =) I also like the idea of getting an extra slot after say a years worth of playing.

I don't see any harm in voicing what we would like to see from neopets, there have been a few occasions where an idea or concept has been discussed on fan sites only for neopets to implement this at a later date. And recently with so many bad things happening on the site (adverts, pop ups, unfair freezings, war mistakes) I think it's only fair to expect people to wish some things would be made better. Neopets is revamped and modified constantly, if things never changed then we'd still be able to have Bruce Forsythe as a pet! And as for HP, killing him at the end of the last book might disappoint fans but if it worked for the books then fine - but if he was killed in the next book with one still to go? I think fans would freak too =)

I don't think it's wrong for Adam to have however many pets he wants, major kudos for him for creating this site with so many addicted players! But there's no harm in speculating about what else neopets could do to make more players happy, what we'd like to see or ways in which they could implement it....as long as no one brings up neoschools again

By all means, I have nothing against players discussing what we want on Neopets. Because as we've all noticed, they're listening.
I just think it's going a little far to say Neopets is being unfair by not providing us with a fifth pet when Adam has one. Or that they're being unfair in general by not meeting any number of certain demands. Or to call them lazy because NeoSchools isn't out, etc.

He's also a bit more than just a meere staff member. He's the reason the game exsists...
