Edit 2: I've figured it out, every where you go that you have potential to get a new battledome opponent the error occurs. It happens at the WoE, because you can get the Pant Devil there. It happens at the Esophagor when you complete a quest, because that's what you do to get him as a BD challenger. You can't view Kauvara's Neopedia Entry, because that's how you get her.

It all makes sense now, they're getting quite tricky. The reason this is happening (as far as I can tell) is because they're deactivating all the BD opponents from the accounts, so that the system thinks we haven't obtained them as opponents yet. That way, nobody can use the makechallenge{} javascript during the war to be cheap and heal their pet with Punchbag Bob/Inflatable Balthazar. When you go to the pages, the site thinks you don't have the opponent, so it tries to insert it into your list, but you already have it, so it throws an error, which is what you see. Cool stuff.
