The Pteri needs a little bit of a revamp, if they produced something like the Faerie one, but of course not as colorful, that would be fine.
I personally don't like the Acara revamp. The black lines don't look constant to me. They look thicker on the head, and thiner on the body. They made it too cute I think. Maybe if they just redrew the face it would look better. In my opinion though they absolutely ruined the angry pose though. The Acara looks like it needs some Clear Eyes eye drops or something.

I think it's an improvement; the old pictures were stiff and flat, and these pictures look more like Acaras in my mind anyway.
There's a few flaws though; I think the eyes are too pointed, and the antennae look like they're too far back if you compare to the old version.... I hate the sad Acaras, since I keep thinking my pet's jaw fell off.

Well, what I liked about the pteri (and this probably hits home with a lot of old Lupe owners) is its consistently serious expression. With the revamps, the pets have been made to look less serious and more vacuous, like the kinds of pets some people keep in real life- and It's well established that Neopets are supposed to be intelligent, on the same level as humans. I wouldn't like it if my pets were to look like complete idiots.

Bleh. The sad pose looks to be made of cheap plastic and is melting in the sun. The other has this huge black line going across its jaw.
I want to like this. I'm trying desperately too because I could be stuck with them. But I can't. The shortened body, the huge head, the thick lines, and tentacles turned into pigtails are driving me bonkers. And I honestly think that there were pets in far greater need of such a drastic revamp. Like the nimmo, tuskaninny, flotsam, chia. Gah.

I don't like the revamp as much as the old Acaras. It's not bad, but not as good. Though I hate the new angry pose. Ick.

I don't think they look that bad. Not fantastic, but definetly not as hideous as some are trying to make it out to be.

Ugh. It looks like a demented chimpanzee of some kind.
They're steadily working their way through ruining my pets....If they touch the Peophin, I'm so going to sue.

I really like the old one better- or maybe thats the only one I'm used to! The chest looks strange, and the horns and ears just don't work. Also the forehead is huge!!! The defensive pose is just...it looks scared at twisted and....can we go back to the old Acara?!? Please?!?!

Brown, Checkered, Disco, Orange and Purple have all been updated now, I'm really tempted to get a plain coloured Acara. This revamp has grown on me tremendously and I liked it to start with!

The revamp is ok. There are things I like about it, but there are things I liked about the old poses as well
