anyone else having this issue wtih their gallery?
I re-ordered the gallery, and it looks ok in edit mode, but when I go and look as a guest the newest 14 items I added recently are not in their ranked order

Yes, I just added some new things to my gallery, and when I look at all items, they are completely shuffled randomly. Yet when I look at them in their categories, they are sorted correctly! This is apparently caused by the fact that they are all ranked "0" when I go to the item rank form, but if I look at the ranks within their categories, all the numbers are right (like, say, 1-63 jellies, 64-92 aishas, etc.). Bleh!

Thanks, beanmommy, you just saved me a ton of work on my gallery. I decided to check the categories on my plushie gallery and, sure enough, they are sorted correctly in the categories. So, I switched it so my main theme is set to the category that contains all of my plushies. People who visit won't get to see the plushie-related items (unless they click on the category), but at least the plushies will be seen in order of release.

My gallery has now joined the ranks of the 'a-sploded' ones... I upgraded it to Size: 21, put in two new Plushies, pressed submit, and it all went as crazy as could be. Luckily, I only had to press a few back buttons to get into my correct rank form, so I had a model to work from. I rearranged them once more, (102 Plushies
) and pressed submit once more... and it a-sploded again! I pressed back. Hit submit again. A-sploded again. And again. And agaaiiin. 
Why?!
Luckily I now have a window open with the correct rank form, so if TNT fixes this soon enough, I'm fine..

I'm having the ranking problem as well. But I don't use any categories.
I added a few new things tonight and now everything is all messed up
. I keep trying to re-rank it all, but I give up cuz it just won't work How frustrating.

Hi,
Could someone give me an example gallery that is messed up?
Some reports have come in, and we've been looking at it, but unable to replicate the issue.
If you would post a link to your gallery and the category that has the problem, I will take a look.

My gallery was set up so that I had two categories: plushies/soft toys/dolls and plushie-related items. But there was no main theme set. So when viewed by myself or as a guest, you saw every item. And I had every item ranked in order of release date. Since this glitch has occurred, the ranking system is completely gone when it is viewed as a whole. However, the individual categories are not messed up. They are still, thankfully, ranked in order of release date.
Glad to know that someone is working on this problem.

It's still not fixed completely. I added two more items to my gallery tonight and tried to order them, since I thought it'd been enough time. It didn't unorder anything else, but the two items I put in are stuck in the first spots. Even though in the item order screen it shows them where I want them to be. At least all the items are there!

My gallery is at ansky218. The first two items should both be somewhere around the middle. They're ranked properly, but when you view it they're not.

Items may be ranked inside of categories separate from the View All ranking.
I set the 2 items to 27 and 28 in the View All ranking and it is fine.
You can do the same for the Asparagus category ranking.
Or you can just apply the Asparagus category ranking to the View All ranking by selecting Item Rank and follow the directions:

OMG, Betatester, you fixed my gallery!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! I can now see my plushies and plushie-related items all at the same time and all in the order of release. Wow!!!! It pays to post things on PPT, eh?

I have to second what Rubywinged just said. I am just floored by what you did, Betatester. Cause you saved me hours and hours and hours of work by putting those plushies back in order for me. All 954 of them. And, it sure seems like you joined PPT just to help us all with this gallery problem. If I could kiss a cheek over the internet wires, I sure would kiss yours. Thank you so much!!!!!
