Proof? you can be HACKED

Yeah, the thing that most screams "FAKE!!!" to me (aside from the atrocious spelling and grammar -- seriously, no respectable professional would let that letter see the light of day) is the bit about the kid "hacking" other websites. If a Neopets lawyer really wrote to someone, he would not concern himself with other sites -- he could legally speak for Neopets.com only. Also, yeah, cookie-grabbing is not like hacking and wouldn't be referred to as such. This letter sounds like it was based on a real event, but faked by someone who didn't really understand what the kid did, technically.

Thank the media for not differentiating between hacking, cracking, phishing, phreaking, etc. and people (mis)using the catch-all "hack" as a way to scare or trick people. The more people chip away at this letter, the more fake it's looking.
