Neoquest Wise and Powerful (it was released after I beat the game, so now I'm playing it on evil, but I never wanted to play it again)
Typing terror -- even if I get all the points I can (100% accuracy, no lives lost), I still can't get high enough.
Fishing - Titanic Squid (3 pets high enough, with one at 116)
Lever of doom - I wasted 20k one day and still don't have it!
Kacheek Seek - my pet keeps getting bored (and so do I)
Tooth Faerie - I've had RE's with her, but not the avvie one
Buried Treasure
Island Mystic - I get at least 2 fortunes every day (switch my language to French), but still no avvie
Wheel of Knowledge - and I spin it EVERY day
Wheel of Mediocrity (I know I've landed on 1000NP before, too)
Turmaculus
Grumpy Old King
Bilge Dice Lucky Streak - never gonna happen
Deadly Dice - it's 3am for me, so I've never even tried
Chocolate - the highest I've ever snagged is a R86
A lot of the games ones I find impossible, but I've never seriously worked at them. For those having trouble with Edna, I read a tip that you try to do 10 of hers a day. By the third day, I had it (after spending months doing 1-3 quests a day). Hope that helps someone!

Snowager (Got blasted almost all the time and ter no avvie...I feel sorry for my poor pets for having to endure all that blasting...)

Edna!
I am not an avatar collecter; Edna's the only avatar I particularly want right now.
And out of all the useless odds and ends and cheap food she's given me, she just won't toss me one measly little super-cute avatar. =___=
A tip for those also working on Edna: only do her quests if the total cost is under 300np. She very rarely gives good prizes, so you will throwing away your money otherwise.
On the other hand, I got the Sloth avatar RE, and I loooove it, so I can't complain entirely.

They will. I was making a joke about my desperation. A while back TNT made a list of things that will get you frozen...refreshing feverishly is ok, leaving your cat on the computer whilel you go out is questionable, autorefreshers = frozen. I would never use an autorefresher or cat.

Not an avatar, but in the same general idea.... I have wasted so much time refreshing at the Space Station to get Commander Garoo as a challenger. I want to move on in Defenders of Neopia, but because of him I just can't. It's annoying. Sometimes I suspect they changed the way to get him, and nobody noticed. Or something.
I don't collect avatars except super easy or super cheap ones, but with the number of Edna quests I've done since that one was released I'm surprised I still haven't gotten it.

I still dont have the Buried Treasure one, and I play that just about every three hours. I win all the time too, but noo av.
I visit the Snowager 2-3 times each day too, and never get that one. Its almost at the point where I'd rather get blasted than be handed a Purple Negg, just so I'd have a chance!
I also dont have a lot of the common pet/petpet ones, because I dont borrow people's pets, and then Meepit vs. Feepit is probably the easiest game avatar I dont have, because I cant play it with one hand, and Im not letting some strange person in my account for anything.
Thats something I only just realized! The frequency of av collectors letting people from their guilds and stuff play games for them. Ive never been in an avatar guild of any sort, and was really surprised when I heard a few people complaining that their guild messageboards were just a bunch of people clandestinely asking others to play games for them. A few times I've even seen average, decent collectors seeming completely surprised when they were told that playing games for others was waay against the rules. I must live under a Neopets rock to have still thought games were one of the few types of avatar that only YOU could get for yourself o_o
