The IDB forums are great. There's a forum called "Weapon Advice & Comparisons" where anyone can start a thread and then some more experienced IDBers will offer weapon set and training advice. They helped me a lot when I was newer to the dome, and now I'm one of the people helping others.

Siniri, at first glance I'd say the mynci, because its level is high enough for the faerie ability sink and the other stats are pretty balanced. It still falls in the 21-40-level range, so can be trained for two codestones/three hours per point (and yeah, alternating the academy and the training school is a good plan). Str/def should be brought up to at least 55, and hit points should be higher -- just follow the training guide in my above post as best you can. However, you could also use the lab pet if you were committed to keeping its stats balanced and not letting the lab get hit points out of hand.

Whichever pet you choose also needs the abilities burrow, sink, and drain life, at least (I like regeneration/restore/healing vapour -- pick one -- once you get more hit points, too, and fiery gaze or diamond dust are good, as they have a chance of freezing). I think you (and anyone else who wants set advice) should register and post a thread at IDB for much more help.

Im still waiting for a world war

All the worlds send their king or elder to a single meeting in altador, where they get in an argument and result in waging war one one another.....

King Skarrl Vs. His brother Vs. Lord Darigan Vs. King Kelpbeard Vs. King Altador Vs. Fyora Vs. King Roo Vs. Sabre-X Vs. The Brain Tree Vs. Captain Tuan Vs. Sloth Vs. The Techo Master Vs. Captain Vs. Quasala Kyrii dude Vs. Sakment Aisha Chick.... all commanding armies! We could join one worlds army, or perhaps start a new army to fight all the armies of neopia! or something based around a world war. 'twould be sweet.

Ugh...you mean like that whole team system of the Altador Cup? As good an idea as it is, Wonder Weezel, all those worlds fighting each other would be hectic...EXTREMELY hectic. I'm perfectly fine with just two sides fighting each other, or, heck, having everyone forced to join one side to fight a universal evil. So long as the opponent system is much like the one of BFM. No ranking, please, TNT. ^_^

I feel sad. I have never spent resources on training. I do not even have the resources for the ray. I would not do well in a war. I would get pwnd.

I don't want a "real" war just yet. I still need to buy Hoban's Hat and train my battle pet to at least the 85 strength boost (he's at 80 now, so it wouldn't take long...it's just that I really reeeeeally want that hat and so I'm diverting ALL my funds towards getting it).

But other than those two hangups, sure, I wouldn't mind just plain old battling this time around. Just...no wartime severe inflation right now. Please. PLEASE.

I think the plot events over the past year or so, starting with the Lost Desert puzzle, have been the best on Neopets. Hands Down. Sure I would have preferred the nonexistence of Anubis Toxicology reports to its cursed existence, some sort of unique prize or trophy for finishing the Altador plot in a timely fashion, and a sound logical means to solve the Cydrake's Gaze mystery, but the good far outweighs the bad. I stopped being a die hard battler years ago. Even so, I've always gave everything I had for each war, and always been disappointed. I'd love to have another, but I'm afraid they'll screw it up like they always seem to do in an effort to make it more "fair" for newer players. The logic of that notion I've never understood since training your pet and buying weapons is a never ending process. One that costs considerable time and money with no hope of full compensation. Not that I ever expected to make as much off a war as I put in, but the results of the last two were outrageously ridiculous.

I'd like to think they finally understand the mistakes they've made and what to do to make a successful war now that they've had some wonderfully thoughtful plots, but I've been hoping that since the Meridell and Darigan war and they've only gotten worse. So, I'm only for one if it's like the one described in the first post.

I'm all for a war but no ranking system. Or at least they should let us know they're ranking when we sign up. Got burnt during the last war when I sent in my strongest pet and got stuck in the lower end of Rank 2 when sending my second strongest pet would have me at the high end of Rank 1 that would have given me way more point.

You know the funny thing is that my weakest pet might still have been too strong for rank 1. I can't remember if she was just under or over the cutoff.

Edit: Looking at your pets, she must have been under. Still, I could have easily gotten a couple hundred points instead of 35.

I'm just hoping for a war, to get a trophy, and to say that I participated in my first Neopian War. The newest {not so new now} plot, Altador, I was just doing it for the sidebar. I could care less about the Avvie {though I do like it} and the free daily gifts {which seems to be nothing but basic items} If the next War plot involves Haunted Woods, I'm standing behind them all the way. My store is in the haunted woods, and I'm moving my guild to the haunted woods as well. Though, in the Cup Games, I supported Krawk island.
