Anyone else get the lamppost trip message I just got.

thanks for the urls, everyone! and no, you can't pick up stuff by changing the url if you're not in the same room as the item. STILL not getting the mirror event, food and mirror are in a lighted room on same X axis, there are exits to the north, west and south. Both my lighted rooms have exits to the south anyway, so I don't think that will really factor into making this event happen.
I didn't bother with the lamppost, I'm going to try blocking the entrances I do have with it and the chair.

The creature doesn't look where it's going. It trips on the lamppost lying on the floor!
It falls toward the ground, and whacks its head on the chair.
The creature lies in a pool of moonlight, and you get your first good look at it. It appears to be an overgrown, misshapen Gelert. He whimpers sadly, no longer seeming like a dire threat.
Slowly, you begin to approach the creature, holding out your hand in a tentative gesture of friendship...
and there's another TO BE CONTINUED sign slapped on there...just to show TNT's love for you

I've noticed that as long as you don't go out the way you came in, you don't run into him. Has anyone tried leading him to a room?

Ok, here's my info. The room I have been using is a lit room with exits at top and bottom.
If you have not gotten the event, pay VERY close attention to where the mirror's feet are at the bottom of the screen. The floor has a wide u-shape or v-shape with a dot in the middle. The mirror's left foot should be between the dot and the left side of the v.
I have not bothered trying in other rooms.

Once you get the mirror event to happen, put your lamppost in the middle of that room above the mirror. The beast will trip over the lamppost and then run away. It's another step I think.

I had positioned the lamp and chair as in that petpage, and made sure the mirror was exactly the same x-coordinate as the food. Then I picked up the chair and set it down until he looked in the mirror.
There must be something else. We can't just expect him to look in the mirror and that be it... I've moved everything I can into the chest room. I tried to take the key back to Sophie or the house, but you can't take it out of the cave. I just can't figure out what else to do.

aha! I didn't block the south entrance with the mirror properly
I put it as close to the exit as I could before getting a direction url.
Now to try this in a room with an unmovable.

The beast seems to look at himself regardless of where the rubbish is, just as long as the mirror is in the middle of the room at the bottom. It also doesn't seem to matter whether the room is lit up or not.

now I can get him to trip on the lamp, but I can't get him to hit the chair, anyone know where to position it?

ok, but I think that I do need to block off the exits with stuff so that he doesn't get away before he sees himself.
hmm, managed it in the room with the table, that didn't do anything.
let's try the rubbish pile next! maybe he'll fall in and get stuck.

i've just gotten my reflection thingy.
i'd done it in a dark room with just the mirror and the food. It seems that if you put the mirror and the food at the same X coordinate with the mirror in front, when it states that something is following you, you click on the same X coordinate in front of the mirror, it will works
can anybody confirm this for me?
