You can never go wrong with petpets, books or BD items.
Though as long as you can use the item I won't complain.

Other flavors I enjoy around christmas time besides the peppermint and cranberry flavors and chocolate flavors are: Maple, Orange, Cinnamon, Sweet Potato, and gingerbread.
I don't think there are a lot of maple syrup flavored things on neopets. I think there is a maple negg and a few maple things, but not a lot. I think maple syrup tastes very good. It isn't exactly Christmasy, but maple syrup is harvested around the fall.
Then there is licorice and clove, which I don't really care for all the time but I like it sometimes in the hard candies I buy around christmas time.
Last year I read "Children's letters to Santa" in the local paper. It was very funny, but also kind of sad. Everyone wanted "sell" phones! Even like four year old children were saying "Dear Santa, I want a sell phone more than anything else."
When I was a kid I wanted toys. My toys didn't even DO anything.
These days kids want cell phones, ipods and stuff at the youngest ages.
I was thinking on neopets, as a joke they could have an Eye Pod, which would be some kind of fruit or something.

I wonder why I think of maple syrup as a festive or holiday kind of thing? It really isn't, but I guess it just strikes me that way.

I think they should give out items they've already created, not for all of the items, but for a fourth or eighth of all items given out perhaps. One year they gave out Lu Codestones.
I'd always love to see a random 1-out-of-every-1,000-users giveaway of something more expensive. A random Paint Brush, a Draik Egg, a H4000 Helmet, something like that.
But more realistically...I like it when they give out disappearing items like books and food. Clothes and back-to-school items are yech.

Well I wouldn't mind some codestones and stuff, or a random chance of getting a rare item. But I just love the newly created stuff.

Maple syrup is tapped in mid-febuary to early march or so depending on the tempature. (cold nights below freezing days warming up to maybe close to forty for a high makes the sap run up and down the tree so more comes out the tap)
Maple sugar syrup/candy could show up for valentine's day or something
But Back on topic Petpet or a a paint brush be nice, but I'd really love to get a hold of one of those nova wands that the pant devil keeps taking every christmas,
OOOHHHH a plushie of him with a wand in his had be awsome (as I Know that the chances of getting that cool a battle item are slim) or how about this like chia flour something that in the battle dome that turns your opponet xmas I'll call it santa's hat .

Honestly? I don't really care overly much as long as its useful-ish. Like food, books, bd items, paintbrushes, codestones, whatever. But not clothes or furniture.
